LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Head Coach for Santhe ADMARC FC Alick Zulu says they are equally ready for the restart of the games in the second round of MK15.3 million Standard Bank UNAYO Division One League.

Zulu said soon after the draw which Central Region Football Association (CRFA) conducted on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Civo Club house in the Capital Lilongwe.
Santhe ADMARC FC who had successful first round,finishing on top,winning ten games of the 14 games,drew 2 and lost 2 have been drawn in group B alongside, Blue Eagles RSV FC, Obings Pirates FC, Kasiya Hungry Tigers FC, Amboya FC and Kamba FC.
Zulu again described the draw as free and fair while acknowledging they have been drawn against tough sides who performed well in the first round of the league.
“We know there shall be no walk over games as it is group of death,each game will be like a final hence we just have to be geared and rectify mistakes we had in first round.As Santhe ADMARC FC we were optimistic of grabbing the championship of the league.We need to be focused as we play Hungry Tigers away in our first game”, Zulu said.
Other teams have been drawn in group A,Zaithwa FC,Nsaru United FC, Make Sure Pirates,Balang’ombe Real Bombers FC,Lizulu Super Stars FC and Hope Academy FC.
Central Region Football Association General Secretary, Bernard Chiwiriwiri Harawa, has warned the twelve teams against bad behaviors during this stage.
Harawa said,all teams must maintain discipline they have showcased in the first round.He also warned that the Association will not clear players who opt to change teams because their parent teams have been relegated.
“The league is going on very well being first year for Standard Bank being sponsors for the division one. There is stiff competition amongst teams and they are displaying beautiful football. They are motivated and inspired as the package is different from the previous years”, added Harawa.
Here are the first fixtures starting from this coming weekend, group A, Zaithwa FC against Nsaru United FC, Make Sure Pirates FC up against Balang’ombe Real Bombers FC while Lizulu Super Stars FC will host Hope Academy FC.
In group B,Kamba FC will host Blue Eagles RSV FC,Kasiya Hungry Tigers FC will be up against Santhe ADMARC FC while Amboya FC will host Obings Pirates FC.
The top three teams from the two groups will qualify to the final round of the UNAYO Division One League.In the final round they will be anticipated to play each other on home and away basis.
The three top teams will qualify to Chipiku Premier Division League, and the one which will top the group will be champion of the maiden MK15.3 million Standard Bank UNAYO Division One League.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) and Standard Bank of Malawi signed a one year contract worthy MK46 million for division one regional leagues. Each region is getting MK15.3 million.
