LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Seventh Day Adventist Church President, Pastor Ted Wilson, who came into the country on Friday for a three day tour, leaves the country today after accomplishing his pastoral duties.
Pastor Wilson, who came into the country for the first time, has commended the SDA Church for the development activities such as education and health care services it is giving not only to its members but also to all and sundry.
The SDA leader was speaking during the departure on Monday at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.
Pastor Wilson also met the head of the state together with various government officials during his visit.
He commended Malawians for the being warm hearted people more especially on how they have been stretching their hands to those in need throughout his stay in Malawi.
The SDA leader therefore urged Malawians to focus on internal values and become not only a citizen of the nation but also of heaven.
“I met the head of state and I observed that he’s a professing christian and I know that will be an instrument in helping everyone to be in connection with God in this country,” he said.
He expressed his admiration for lake of Malawi that he visited during the three day tour.
Minister of gender, children, disability and social welfare, Mary Navicha the Seventh Day Adventist Church President for his message of love and peace that he has extended throughout his stay in the country.
Navicha who saw off SDA leader said the pastor’s message will help Malawians to live peacefully among themselves during these critical times when there are some political misunderstandings.
While in Malawi, Pastor Wilson preached to millions of SDA Church members at Bingu National Stadium on Saturday, under the theme: Total Member Involvement, met the President Peter Mutharika and toured Adventist Church funded projects in Thyolo and Blantyre where Blantyre Adventist Hospital is located.
Pastor Wilson minced no words but to express his impression and satisfaction over such development projects.
“Blantyre Adventist Hospital is a marvellous place that is carrying out the wonderful touch of Jesus by hands of Jesus by helping people physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. I am proud of Blantyre Adventist Hospital and its staff,” said Pastor Wilson.
Pastor Ted Wilson left the country for South Africa and will proceed to Angola after visiting Jordan and Malawi for pastoral tour before returning to America.
