….Solidarity Alliance Party (SAP) set to launch on May 31, 2025
Just barely a few months before Malawi goes to general elections, a new political grouping Solidarity Alliance Party (SAP) is set to be launched on May 31, 2025.
In press statement issued on Thursday, May 8 and signed by SAP Publicity Secretary Allan Chinoko says the party is not coming play with politics but “We are coming to bury it”.
“Beginning 31st May 2025, from Mzimba Boma, SAP will ignite a series of national launches across the four corners of Malawi: North, South, East, and Centre—reaching the people not with pomp, but with purpose”.
Chinoko adds, “We are launching where politics has failed and where the cries of the people have been ignored for far too long. From Mzimba to Mzuzu, Mangochi to Blantyre, and Lilongwe, this is not a roadshow—it’s a revolution on wheels.
“Malawi is tired. Tired of professional liars in suits. Tired of recycled promises and copy-pasted manifestos. Tired of parties that wake up during elections and go to sleep in government. We at SAP are not here to join the queue of failures. We are here to break the system that betrayed you”.
He assures, “We are not launching in air-conditioned boardrooms. We are launching in your towns, your districts, your villages—because the real power has always been with the people.
“We are a registered national party with structures in all districts, not a WhatsApp group with slogans. We exist. We are ready. And we are angry—with you, for you, and on your behalf”.
On public expection after the party launch, Chinoko says, “We are bringing hope powered by action, not sweet-talking speeches laced with lies. We are not here to charm you—we are here to wake you up.
“We will speak what your politicians are too afraid to say. We will act where others choose silence. We will confront the rot, the corruption, the nepotism, the mediocrity—and we will not apologise”.
SAP calls upon every Malawian who is tired of being used, abused, and confused—”to rise up and join us”.
“These launches are not events. They are the beginning of a people’s uprising against betrayal. Make no mistake: the system is scared. And it should be. Because the people are waking up.
“And when the people wake up, no lie can stand.See you at Mzimba Boma. The revolution will not be televised. It will be lived”.
Malawi has over 20 political parties since attainment of multiparty democracy in 1994.
