PRETORIA-(MaraviPost)-A South African young lady who spent years at university studying for her pharmacy degree, worked hard to become successful and finally opened her own pharmacy in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal last week.
Less than a.week after opening her business to help the KwaNyuswa community access medication closer to home, armed thugs allegedly stormed into the pharmacy and shot her dead along with her cashier during a robbery attack and went away with her laptop and a phone.
A security guard who reportedly tried to intervene was also shot and rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
The sister of brutally murdered pharmacy owner Nomzila Madinane has come to reveal that her sister had been receiving threats from her ex-boyfriend even after they broke up last year.
She alleged that both the ex-boyfriend and his brother continued threatening Nomzila, forcing her to hire someone to protect her.
The family says she also reported the matter to police before her death.
According to the sister, the attackers only took Nomzila’s cellphone and laptop, leaving all other valuables behind, raising suspicions that the murder may have been targeted rather than a robbery.
