It is no secret that the self-proclaimed prophet from Malawi, is not the most favourite person.
Some South Africans even goes as far as believing that he is con artist who uses region to lure his victims and extract money from them.
Prophet Bushiri has had a lot of drama and controversy around him, and some deals that the south African police services believe to be legit.
The founder of the Enlightened Gathering Christian Church, which has its headquarters in Pretoria central in showground, accommodates more than a 5000 thousand.
Christians each and every Sunday, to listen to the prophet who is also a business man and also have many other branches in African countries.
Bushiri also runs a global investment company, which is called Shepard Bushiri investment and the company is based at Sandton.
The Prophet also has some interest in mining and real estates and Airlines which he is believed to be involved in.
However it has come to attention that the, self-proclaimed prophet now has opened a university, at Pretoria South Africa.
This has caused a debate on social media with some of South Africans Questioning the Authentic of the Prophet, and believing that he is in South Africa for the wrong reasons, which is to defraud the people of South Africa.
The questions were also raised that South Africa have a lot of education institution why wouldn’t he just open the school at his home country.
On the first of February 2019, the prophet was arrested together, with his wife, by South African Directorate for priority investigations, which then lead to the HAWKS investigating, money laundering and fraud as well as the contravention of South Africa’s prevention organised crime, which had been committed in 2015.
