LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Standard Bank has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing Switch your Salary Win promotion as it enters into a final month.
The final countdown to the MK10 Million grand prize is expected to take place in the early week of November 2023.
Addressing the news conference after conducting the third draw on Monday, in the capital Lilongwe, Standard Bank’s Head of Personal Banking Takula Kapalamula said was satisfied that the promotion has achieved its intended purpose that more customers are joining the bank
“Since its launch in July of this year, the promotion has so far created two millionaires in the name of Deziderio Mangani and Joseph Mandala. in July and August respectively. With 2 other winners walking away with MK500,000, 6 total winners in the Mk200,000 category, and 100 MK50,000 winners. Following the draw conducted on 9th October, a total of 165 individuals will have been awarded four different prize categories
“We have been impressed by the impact of the promotion thus far and the feedback from the market and our customers has been quite positive and encouraging, we look forward to finishing off the promotion strongly within the month of October as we build towards the grand prize of MK10 million,” Kapalamula.
Kapalamula said the bank has a rich product and service offering and the main objective of this promotion was to increase awareness of what Standard Bank has to offer to all Malawians.
He added, “As many of you are aware, as Standard Bank we believe that Malawi is our Home and we drive her growth. That is why beyond this promotion you will have seen the recently launched campaign which we have titled ‘We Believe in Malawi’.
“The campaign is telling the extraordinary stories of Malawians who have been able to create tremendous impact in their societies through support from the Bank and it is this same platform that we want to offer both our existing and new clients, for them to achieve more in their life when they join Standard Bank.”
To enter the promotion, customers need to switch their salary to Standard Bank.
The Bank has made the switching process more convenient, as earlier announced, the loan repayment period has been extended up to 5 years for eligible clients.
Existing account holders just need to open a new Pure Save account.
The Switch and Win promotion has seen more Malawians moving to join Standard Bank, which in turn is taking over their loans while offering them flexible repayment terms.

The four-month promotion will see clients winning cash prizes which amount to a total of more than MK22 million and promotion entries close on 31 October 2023.
