Mchinji is slowly becoming a scandrous district along side Balaka.

This is the only districts where all sorts of stories such as rape, defilement, robberies, women abuse, and currently Police in Mchinji are investigating on how suspected albino body parts were found at Pazani village in the area of traditional authority Mduwa in Mchinji district.

According to Mchinji police public relations officer Sub- Inspector Moses Kajawa Nyirenda the body parts were found on 29th of August 2015 at Pazani village.

Nyirenda said when Saulosi Mzowa of Pazani village at around 9 o’clock in the morning went to his garden, he found a group of dogs fighting for some bones at Mr. Dagrasi Mwale’s garden which is 30 meters from his garden.

Nyirenda added that it was Mr. Saulosi Mwale who reported the matter to village headman Pazani who then reported the matter to Mchinji police station.

Mchinji Police spokesperson said “As the police we don’t know if these were real human being body parts because we are not the medical doctors but the medical doctors are the ones who can confirm to us that these are indeed human being body parts”.

Nyirenda also never agree neither admit that suspected human being body parts belong to an albino.

Nyirenda said, “We don’t know if these suspected human body parts belong to an albino but when we conclude our investigations we will let you know , if they are also for human being body parts we will also let you know if they belong to an albino person or not”.

The Mchinji police spokesperson further said they are still investigation on the matter and if found that it is indeed human being body parts they will continue hunting for the suspects.

“We cannot start today hunting for suspects but we will wait for the medical officer at mchinji district hospital to tell us what is that dogs were fighting for if there is evidence that it is human being body parts we will start hunting for the suspects”.said Nyirenda.

However rumors are rife that police have already arrested someone in connection with the incident; But Nyirenda dismissed the rumor by saying they have not yet arrested anyone as a suspect of the suspected human body parts which most people in the area are saying they belong to an albino person.

Most albino people in the country started living in fear following some people who have been trailing them claiming their body can heal an HIV/AIDS person while others use their body for some witch medicine.

Trading of albino body parts it’s illegal and if anyone found selling or killing an albino is being prosecuted by the laws of Malawi.
