Chris Noth Details Sarah Jessica Parker Fallout After Sexual Assault Claims

Chris Noth opened up about how his friendship with Sex and the City costar Sarah Jessica Parker came to an end after he was accused of sexual assault.

“We’re not friends,” Noth, 71, said of Parker, 60, in a teaser clip for the Monday, January 26, episode of the “Really Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson” podcast, per People. “I think that’s pretty obvious.”

Noth explained that the disconnect occurred when Parker and fellow Sex and the City costars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis released a statement supporting the alleged victim. (Noth was accused of sexual assault in 2021 and he has vehemently denied the allegations.)

“The statement that they put out — which was nothing more than brand management, really — I don’t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising,” he continued. “Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You’ve known me for many years, and we’ve worked [together] for many years.”

In addition to the statement, Parker, Nixon, 59, and Davis, 60, publicly distanced themselves from Noth. Noth was set to return for the Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That. However, he was fired amid the allegations and his character was killed off in the series premiere.

Speaking with host Kara Mayer Robinson, Noth called the move from Parker and his other costars “more Hollywood than Hollywood,” adding that he wishes that they had reached out to him for his side of the story.

“But before you make that statement, you know me, you’ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this,” he said. “And that didn’t happen, and that was too bad.”

Noth explained there was “something gained” and “something lost” from the fallout.

“What’s gained is good. You know where people stand and you know who your real friends are and who they’re not. That’s important to know,” he shared. “I just know if it had been on the other foot, I wouldn’t have done that.”

Noth added that if Parker had been in a similar situation, he would have “absolutely” reached out to hear her “side.”

“That was hurtful, and it really affected everything,” he said, seemingly referring to his abrupt exit from And Just Like That.

Us Weekly has reached out to Parker for comment.

Noth played Parker’s love interest Mr. Big on Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004. He reprised his role for the film adaptation of the beloved series and its sequel.

Chris Noth Addresses Viral ‘F*** SJP’ Comment in New Statement

Parker and Noth’s relationship dynamic earlier this month after the actor responded to a shady comment about Parker. While Noth was at the gym he captioned a selfie, ““F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”

In the comments section, one user wrote, “You mean f*** sjp & her award right? Lol,” referring to Parker recently receiving the Carol Burnett Award at the 2026 Golden Globes. Noth, for his part, replied, “Right.”

Noth’s candid remark subsequently made headlines. He later addressed the message calling it a “slightly sarcastic response.”

“My off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot. It is not news,” Noth wrote via Instagram in January. “It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.”

CBS Reopens ‘Matlock’ Investigation After David Del Rio Was Fired: Report

CBS has reopened its investigation into sexual assault allegations against Matlock actor David Del Rio, according to a TMZ report.

Del Rio, 38, was fired from the CBS legal drama in October after an investigation into sexual assault claims made by his costar Leah Lewis.

According to TMZ, an investigation into the allegations was reopened just before Thanksgiving. Del Rio has been interviewed again, alongside his attorney, Shawn Holley, said the outlet.

Us Weekly has reached out to Del Rio’s attorney for comment. CBS declined to comment, saying it does not discuss legal matters.

Where Was David Del Rio’s ‘Matlock’ Story Line Going Before Firing?

Del Rio abruptly exited the second season of Matlock after a September 26 on-set incident with Lewis, 20, Deadline reported on October 9.

Us confirmed in October that CBS was alerted to the incident and immediately began an internal investigation into the allegations.

Deadline reported that Del Rio was “fired and escorted” off the Paramount lot “the same day the alleged assault was reported” on October 2.

After the news broke a week later, Lewis shared a photo of her and her mother on the Matlock set and wrote, “Mom is here, we’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands.”

“Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care. Truly, we’re moving forward in strength. Key word, strength. Please, let that be the takeaway,” she continued.

Del Rio has yet to publicly comment on his firing or the allegations. In November, Us confirmed that he had retained Hollywood attorney Holley, who has previously represented the likes of Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan and Justin Bieber in high-profile cases.

In October, Del Rio’s wife, Katherine, came to her husband’s defense after the news broke. Katherine shared a photo of Lewis via her Instagram Story and wrote, “This is the most disturbing human being I have ever met.” Katherine later deleted the post.

“His wife is standing by him,” friends of Del Rio and his wife exclusively shared with Us in October. “They’re a family and staying together.”

The couple share two daughters, Lilia, 2, and Coco, 11 months.

Del Rio’s character, Billy Martinez, is expected to be written out of Matlock, which recently began production on the second half of season 2.

In a joint interview with Lewis in May, Del Rio teased his story line in season 2, after his character discovered he was going to become a dad at the end of season 1.

“I’m really excited to see how Billy handles the work balance with the personal balance of it all,” he shared at the time.

“I remember reading the finale and hoping at the end that Sarah was going to get away scot-free with this wonderful victory,” Lewis said of where her character, Sarah Franklin, ended up at the end of season 1.

“Of course, the thing happens with Simone and she might need to take accountability,” Lewis said. “To be honest, this is where we really get to see if Sarah can step up to the plate for the thing that she has been begging for, asking for and working so hard for. You want to get treated like a big dog. We’ll start acting like a big dog. I feel like this season we’ll definitely probably get to see her mature a bit more on that aspect. Her professional win is not over yet.”
