Author of the book ‘Tales of a sojourner’ Geraldo Bleza Malota has urged the youth in Malawi to adopt a spirit of reading saying it will inspire them to become more open minded and break from illusions created by society.
In an interview with Malawi news agency (MANA) the Dedza based author and major seminarian, Malota said the book will be of great benefit to the youth in Malawi.
“The book will help the youth to think freely and break from the illusions created in them by the society and others. It will also help them treasure their identity.” Malota said.
According to him, the benefits will extend to all Malawians as the target audience goes as far as the aged.
“Malawi as a country will benefit as citizens will have to reflect and have esteem for themselves. Citizens will see the need for national and continental unity.” Malota said.
He also disclosed that the writing of this book was inspired by the energy within himself brought by his pleasant and painful experiences of life.
So far, this is his first book to release.
“It is my debut book, however since 2014 I have been writing many poems and articles.” Malota said.
According to one of the readers of the poems and articles, Stephen Moyo, the pieces of art are full of sense and novelty when one reads them.
The book ‘Tales of a sojourner’ is a literary anthology with poems and articles that hinge on what human beings experience.
“The title of the project is an accurate expression of the reality of our life on this planet as we are mere sojourners on our way to destiny.” Malota said.
According to Malota, the book is going out at any reasonable amount per the taste of the buyer.
Malota is further planning to release another book titled reincarnation of a bygone Era: from gods to God.
