HARARE-(MaraviPost)-The power to change the current political mess created by Mnangagwa and ZANU PF in Zimbabwe is in the hands of the People of Zimbabwe, a Political Science Professor based in Florida USA says.
“It’s important to remember what African liberation Movements preached during the Liberation struggle against colonial rule. They took themselves as fish in water.
“The water was the People and they stressed that without the water the fish would not survive. This simply means they needed the People to succeed in the Liberation struggle. We can flip that coin today. The People of Zimbabwe have the power to change the situation in Zimbabwe “, he said.
A number of Zimbabweans are now boiling at the moment as they are frustrated by the slow pace at which the regional block SADC is moving to resolve the political crisis in Zimbabwe.
“The point is SADC has done well so far and we are grateful…however, we must do something ourselves to get this right. Our Opposition leadership should start working towards that goal. We should complement SADC efforts by doing something ourselves “, a Youth Opposition Leader in HARARE said.
The main opposition in Zimbabwe the Citizens Coalition for Change with the biggest following has done everything by the book while following due processes to resolve the political crisis in Zimbabwe.
” Look, that approach can only work when you are in a country which has the RULE OF LAW. You can testify there is no rule of law in Zimbabwe right now. Look at the recalls of the Opposition CITIZENS COALITION FOR CHANGE MPs from Parliament by Sengezo Tshabangu who calls himself an interim Secretary General of the CCC.
“Look at how excited ZANU PF and Mnangagwa are with the byelections in which they are getting free seats which they lost in August by the way. Should I tell you that ZANU PF and Mnangagwa are behind this quest to decimate the Zimbabwe Main Opposition CITIZENS COALITION FOR CHANGE? So…what sort of approach is needed to confront this crisis in Zimbabwe? Of course, go back to the manual of the Liberation struggle against colonial rule…it was all about People power …wasn’t?”, a Political Science Professor based in Florida USA says.
