Thousands rally behind APM: Challenges critics “Enough is Enough”

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Chilimampunga ground in Mtandire was full with excitement as thousands of supporters gathered to catch a glimpse of Peter Mutharika, a key figure in the Alliance for Democracy (Aford) and a prominent politician in Malawi.

The event was hosted by the National Development Party (NDP) and Alliance for Democracy under the banner of the Blue Alliance.

Mutharika, known for his charismatic leadership, addressed the crowd and cautioned critics from his former party who have been hurling insults at him. “Enough is enough,” he said, drawing thunderous applause from the crowd.

The former ruling party stalwart also took the opportunity to connect with his supporters, waving to them from the podium as they chanted his name.

NDP President Frank Mwenefumbo also addressed the gathering, assuring Malawians that people want Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM) back in power. “Malawians are yearning for a return to the kind of leadership that APM provided,”

“We are confident that with the Blue Alliance, we can deliver on our promises and take Malawi to the next level.”Mwenefumbo said.

The rally, which drew people from all walks of life, was a testament to the enduring popularity of APM and his allies.

As the country heads towards the 2025 elections, the Blue Alliance is banking on the goodwill and support generated from such rallies to win over voters.

The event also showcased the strong alliance between NDP and Aford, with Mutharika and Mwenefumbo sharing a stage and sending a united message to Malawians.

As the campaign season heats up, it will be interesting to see how the Blue Alliance fares against other political parties in the country.
