Blantyre, March 17, 2015—Super League sponsors, TNM would like to congratulate the newly-elected executive committee of the Super League of Malawi (SULOM).
“We wholeheartedly extend our congratulations to Mr Innocent Botoman for securing a re-election and also take pride in welcoming Mr Daud Suleman, his Vice and the entire executive committee. The re-election of some executive members led by Botoman underscores the confidence that the local football fraternity has in their abilities. But it also throws the immediate challenge to live up to the electorate’s expectations to breathe efficiency in the administration of the local game,” said Chief Commercial Officer Daniel Makata.
He said TNM looked forward to working closely with the new SULOM executive as it prepares for the new season.
Makata expressed optimism that the cordial relationship between TNM and SULOM membership will continue for the overall improvement of the game in Malawi.
“There is no doubt that since we went into partnership with SULOM, the local game has benefitted as noted through improvements in the standard of the game and the competitive nature of games. Local teams now aspire to challenge for continental medals because they have the confidence in the game. We hope that the new executive will keep in mind these achievements and ensure that we exceed them going forward,” he said.
TNM has been sponsoring the top-flight league since 2006.
