LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s pioneer mobile network and ICT services provider Telekom Networks Malawi Plc (TNM) a proud supporter of the
preservation of Malawi’s cultural heritage is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the upcoming Umthetho Cultural Festival.
Announcing the sponsorship in Lilongwe on Thursday TNM Marketing Director, Sobhuza Ngwenya says as an authentic Malawian brand, TNM is committed to
supporting efforts to preserve Malawi’s rich traditions and cultural heritage.
The 2025 Umthetho cultural festival is being held under the theme “Cultural Diversity: The Foundation of Peaceful Coexistence and Development’ ’and will
be held from 6th to 8th August 2025 in Mzimba District
In a press statement released in Lilongwe today ahead of the festival, Ngwenya is confident the that the support of 10 million Kwacha will go a long way in ensuring the festival is held successfully.
“My team are honoured to partner with the organizers of the cultural festival to celebrate and promote Malawi’s cultural identity, and this sponsorship reflects
our belief that culture plays an essential role in national development,” said Ngwenya.
The Umthetho Cultural Festival is one of Malawi’s most beloved traditional gatherings, attracting people from all walks of life as it is a platform to showcase the values and customs, that define the identity of the Ngoni people of Northern Malawi.

The Umtheto Resource Mobilization Committee Chairperson Charles Zimba thanked TNM for the support to the festival.
