BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on Friday donated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment worth $108 000 (about K187 million) to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to enhance its electronic case management system.
The donation follows a request made by the DPP’s office to UNDP in June 2024.
The equipment includes tablets,
all-in-one computers, printers, servers, and other network essentials.
Speaking during the donation ceremony at the Ministry of Justice premises in Lilongwe,UNDP acting resident representative Nanise Saune-Oaloewai said the equipment will significantly enhance the DPP’s operations.
She added that the equipment will streamline case management processes and improve data collection, storage, and analysis, ensuring a more efficient and effective justice system.
