The recent allegations made by The Investigator Magazine regarding divisions within the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) are nothing but a desperate attempt by the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) to destabilize the unity and strength that DPP has built ahead of the convention slated for August 17 and 18.
Contrary to the claims made by the magazine, there are no divisions within DPP, and the party is more united than ever before.
The allegations of a rift between aspirants and incumbent seat holders are baseless and lack any concrete evidence.
The party’s unity is evident in the way aspirants are freely conducting their campaigns without any hindrance or rivalry.
The candidates vying for the vice president position, in particular, are in good terms and have been working together seamlessly.
It is no secret that MCP has been trying to destabilize DPP for years, having previously sent agents who attempted to create chaos within the party.
However, their efforts failed miserably, and DPP emerged stronger and more united than ever.

This time around, MCP is desperately employing another lie to try and create divisions within DPP, but their efforts will be futile.
The meeting alleged to have taken place at a senior party official’s residence in Lilongwe, where a list of preferred candidates was produced, is nothing but a fabrication.
The regional governors from all regions are working together in harmony, and there is no evidence to suggest that they were told who to vote for.
Furthermore, the posts declaring people as candidates, only to be withdrawn, and the allocation of posts to the “wrong region” are not causing consternation within the party.
Instead, these are normal processes that occur during any political convention, and DPP is no exception.
In fact, DPP’s unity and strength are causing sleepless nights for MCP agents, who are desperate to find ways to destabilize the party.
However, their efforts will be in vain, as DPP is more united than ever before.
The convention slated for August 17 and 18 will be a testament to DPP’s unity and strength.
The party is ready to move forward, united and strong, and no amount of lies and propaganda from MCP will be able to change that.
The allegations made by The Investigator Magazine are nothing but a desperate attempt by MCP to destabilize DPP’s unity and strength.
The party remains united, and the convention will be a success.
DPP is ready to move forward, united and strong, and will not be swayed by the lies and propaganda of its opponents.
