BLANTYRE-(MaraviPpst)-The UTM party has announced plans to conduct regional memorial rallies to pay tribute to its late president, Dr. Saulos Chilima who died in plane crash on June 10, 2024 in Chikangawa forest, Mzimba district.
According to Felix Njawala, the party’s publicity secretary, the rallies aim to reunite the UTM family and celebrate the life of their beloved leader.
The first rally is scheduled to take place on July 28, 2024, at Katoto Freedom Park in Mzuzu, followed by another event in Lilongwe.
The party will then proceed to hold rallies in the eastern and southern regions, ensuring that supporters across the country have an opportunity to pay their respects.
Political commentator Wonderful Mkhutche emphasized the significance of these rallies, stating that they will help to reunite the UTM family during a difficult time.
