Speaking to the MaraviPost Sports Desk after the match, Red Lions coach Malumbo Mkandawire said his side’s plan to score early had worked, but inexperience in the second half proved costly.

Mkandawire said his players executed the initial plan well but lost control of the game after the break, allowing Wanderers to turn the contest around.

Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira described the encounter as a tough match but praised his players for working hard to score and secure maximum points.

Mpinganjira also admitted that his team missed several chances but acknowledged that Red Lions were a good side and made the match difficult.
