KAMPALA-(MaraviPost)-Police in Uganda arrested man for allegedly killing his two children inside their grandmother’s house at Kyangato Village, Nakaseke District.
The Savana Region Police spokesperson Isah Ssemogerere, confirmed the arrested in a statement.
According to Ssemogerere, the suspect sneaked into the house of the children’s grandmother while they were sleeping on the same bed and selectively split the victim’s throats.
The suspect, believed to be the biological father of the deceased children, was arrested after Police recovered a panga and blood stained clothes hidden inside his house, Monitor reported.
He was identified by one of the surviving children who disclosed that the suspect had been threatening to harm the members of the family.
He reportedly confessed to the murder before the police and LC officials.
The mother of the deceased children Nowelina Nagadya, who was at Semuto Village at the time of the incident, said she separated with the suspect three years ago but the man kept claiming that two of the children were not his and he would eventually harm them.
She added that she decided to let the children stay with their grandmother but the suspect kept visiting the home and harassing the grandmother.
