“When God’s servant speaks, the wise listen.” – Deuteronomy 18:22.
Wiseman Daniel, once gave a mysterious message about a prominent traditional ruler in Africa. His words were spoken in parables, but recent events have made many reflect deeply on what was said and how it has now come to pass.
During one of his prophetic utterances, Wiseman Daniel said:
“A prominent traditional ruler here in Africa will receive a phone call that will make him change his sleeping position from a very big room to a very small room. What could make you occupy a big room and then a small room? Where is the big room? Where is the small room? What is the difference? It’s a parable… This phone call he will answer will shock Nigeria as a nation.”
This prophecy didn’t mention any names. But it clearly spoke of a great traditional ruler whose death would surprise and shake the country.
The News Breaks: Nigeria Mourns a Great King
On July 13, 2025, Nigeria received heartbreaking news: Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, had passed away at the age of 91.
He reigned for over six decades—from 1960 till 2025—making him one of Nigeria’s longest-serving and most respected traditional rulers. Oba Adetona was a voice of wisdom, unity, and cultural pride. His death is not just the end of an era for Ijebuland but a major loss for Nigeria as a whole.
When Wiseman Daniel spoke about a “phone call” that would change a king’s sleeping place—from a “big room” to a “small room”—many didn’t fully understand.
But now, it makes perfect sense.
- The “big room” represents the royal palace—wealth, honor, and majesty.
- The “small room” represents the grave—simple, quiet, and final.
The “phone call” was not a literal phone call but a divine call—God calling the king home. And indeed, that call has now come.
The nation was shocked by the news. Even though Oba Adetona was old, his influence and presence remained strong. His passing has left a great void in Nigeria’s traditional and cultural landscape—just as the prophecy had said.
Oba Sikiru Adetona was more than a traditional ruler. He was a leader, a reformer, and a father to many.
He stood firm through military and democratic regimes, always speaking for justice, peace, and the place of tradition in modern Nigeria. He was awarded the GCON, Nigeria’s second-highest national honor, for his tireless service.
Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, speaking on behalf of the state and the nation, said:
“Kabiyesi was a beacon of unity, a defender of tradition, and a blessing to our people. His legacy will continue to guide us for generations to come.”
Interestingly, just days earlier, former President Muhammadu Buhari—a close ally of the Awujale—also passed away. Both leaders were known for their wisdom, their silence, and their powerful presence.
Governor Abiodun noted that when President Buhari visited the southwest, the only place he felt at home was in the palace of Oba Adetona. The loss of these two figures so close together adds even more weight to Wiseman Daniel’s prophetic words.
Two prophecies. Two national figures. Two major losses.
Wiseman Daniel’s messages—one about a “big tree shaking” and another about a “king changing rooms”—have both come to pass.
This is a time for reflection, for prayer, and for deeper understanding that God still speaks, and He uses His servants to warn, guide, and prepare us.
When God’s servant speaks, the wise listen. – Deuteronomy 18:22.
