LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The European Union (EU) election observer mission is due to arrive in the country tomorrow, January 8, 2020.

The visit is to issue a fresh report on the disputed May 21, 2019 elections.

Aurelie Valtat, EU Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Political Affairs has confirmed.

EU representative who witnessed the 21 May elections is expected to deliver election report to Malawi authorities in few days.

This comes as the country awaits the ConCourt elections case ruling.

Surprisingly, the EU representative produced the report about the election results before the counting process was over and he was asked to leave the country due to his involvement in Msunde case.

The EU representative also expected to meet President Peter Mutharika together with all other parties involved upon his arrival.

The development has not gone well with some Malawians arguing wrong timing.

“Comrades,those from EU they didn’t vote it’s we Malawians that went early morning and vote for our choice.It is them (EU) who diverted our choice so if they want to rule two countries Malawi and Europe then they have written in water we have five judges taking charge of the whole case.

“All this period we have been in court where were the EU group that they thought of coming with the report today?Maybe azamalamulo tiunikireni report yazachisankho imafunika after how long?Andipsetsa mtima kwambiri awa a president athu kukhala mu khoti nthawi yonse ija lero anene this nonsense..kwachaaaa!,” worried concerned citizen.

Some people still believe the report that will be delivered might contain the information that is needed to close the election case despite judge Harry Potani’s statement that they have all the information that is needed to pass the verdict.

About 28 days remaining before the constitutional court make its verdict on the Presidential Election Case.
