Malawi Cholera cases rising

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi continues to register new cases of cholera with latest figures indicating 565 have been registered this 27 fatalities.

The latest toll follows 10 new cholera cases registered on Saturday, June 4, 2022, five from Blantyre and the other five from Nsanje.

Cholera cases rising

While on Sunday, June 5, total cases were eight.

Statistics indicate that Nsanje alone has from the onset recorded 203 cases of cholera and 10 deaths including 1 community death.

Figures from Ministry of Health also indicate that Blantyre has recorded 195 cases with 12 deaths including 3 community deaths.

Meanwhile Machinga, Balaka, Phalombe , Neno and Mulanje are some of the districts affected by the disease.

Ministry of Health begun cholera vaccine distribution in hotspots of the disease.
