LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Netball National Team, known as “The Queens,” has received a significant boost ahead of the Netball World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa, as MITCH Pharmacy donated assorted medical equipment valued at MK2.5 million.

Mercy Chamwalira, the Managing Director of MITCH Pharmacy, made the donation in response to a proposal from the Netball Association of Malawi (NAM).

“We take great pride in the Malawi Queens. We believe in their potential to win the World Cup in Cape Town, and that is why we have responded as a corporate entity.

“The donated items amount to approximately MK2.5 million,” said Chamwalira.

Jane Chimaliro, the captain of the Malawi Netball team, expressed her gratitude for the timely donation, emphasizing that the equipment will greatly assist the players during their training camp by providing adequate treatment for various injuries.

Chimaliro commended MITCH Pharmacy for their generous gesture.

The donated items include sanitary pads, knee supports, painkillers, and more.

The Queens are currently in a training camp in Lilongwe, preparing for the Netball World Cup scheduled to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, in July.
