As the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) prepares for its upcoming convention, George Chaponda has affirmed that Professor Peter Mutharika will continue as the party’s leader without facing any opposition. According to Chaponda, no other party members have shown interest in challenging Mutharika for the top position.
Chaponda praised Mutharika’s leadership, highlighting his effective governance during his tenure. “Professor Peter Mutharika is the only leader who has successfully managed this country, addressing critical issues such as hunger and economic challenges,” Chaponda stated.
The convention will solidify Mutharika’s position as the party’s presidential candidate, ensuring continuity in the party’s leadership for the upcoming elections.
