Malawi President Mutharika ready for prayer night, Dispensing off pastoral death prophesies

1 Min Read

President Arthur Peter Mutharika will tonight congregate with Malawians at a night of prayer organized by Living Waters International Church at Kamuzu Stadium.

According to the church’s Founder and President, Apostle Dr Stanley Ndovie, the prayers have been organized to lift the country into the hands of God so that all national matters are guided by divine intervention.

“We are delighted that this will be an inclusive event where all Malawians regardless of status in society will lift the country to their creator in prayer. The State President and other elders of society have decided to attend as such we should all emulate their zeal for prayer by attending the event,” said Ndovie.

The prayers will run under the theme “The Fear of God is the foundation of national development”

Early this year the President also led the nation in national prayers in Lilongwe where petitions for good rains were offered.

Since assuming office President Mutharika has developed strong relationship with religious bodies in Malawi and he has been consulting them on matters of national interest.

Many see this day as an affront to pastor TB Joshua of Nigeria who takes credit for prophesying the death of late President Bingu WA Mutharika. Peter Mutharika was so incensed with Joshua and flat out called his bluff.
