Malawi Police pounce on Norman Chisale again over certificate

Norman Chisale still on remand at Maula Prison

BLANTYRE-(Maravipost)—Police in Lilongwe have arrested former President Peter Mutharika bodygurard, Norman Chisale, who is still at remand at Maula prison for another offense.

According to sources, Chisale has been arrested on issues surrounding a certificate he used to join Malawi Defence Force (MDF) way back.

This is his fourth arrest in a row as he is also answering other three charges: attempted murder, fraud and money laundering and murder charge in connection to the death of the Anti-Corruption Bureau official Issah Njaunju.

His fourth arrest comes few days after the Supreme Court turned down his application to seek injunction against further arrests by the police.
