Nyasa Times Journalist Watipanso Mzungu detained over President Chakwera’s failed cabinet reshuffle “Fools Day Comedian”

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Report reaching this publication show that our sister paper Nyasa Times Journalist Watipaso Mzungu was on Tuesday, Morning, April 6, 2021 arrested in the capital Lilongwe on the story on President Lazarus Chakwera’s failure to reshuffle the cabinet as expected.

Mzungu has been summoned and detained by Area 30 Police Headquarters Police .

We understand that Mzungu came up with an article titled; CDEDI calls Chakwera a Fools Day Comedian for deferring Cabinet Reshuffle”.

The Journalist claims it is do with a story he published on 1st April that quoted Executive Director for Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative – CDEDI, Sylvester Namiwa who called President Chakwera a joker and a time waster.

National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera has not yet commented on the matter.
