Bullets pour cold water on players release romours

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have moved quickly to silence growing speculation on social media suggesting the club has offloaded eight players in a major squad shake up.

The 2023 quadruple winners say the claims are false, stressing that no player has been released, whether due to disciplinary issues, underperformance or contract expiration.

According to the club, the 2025 season is still active and no decisions of that nature have been taken.

In recent days, online reports alleged that several senior players had been shown the exit door, causing anxiety among supporters of the People’s Team.

The names mentioned in the rumours include strikers Hassan Kajoke, Ephraim Kondowe and Bright Munthali, alongside Chikumbutso Henderson, Lameck Gamphani, Henry Chiwaya and goalkeeper Clever Mkungula.

However, Bullets management insists all the listed players remain part of the squad and continue to be considered in the club’s plans.

At present, the only confirmed departure from the giants of Malawian football is Nigerian striker Babatunde Adepoju, whose loan spell has officially ended.

Adepoju has since returned to his parent club, Venda FC of South Africa, after the expiry of his loan agreement with Big Bullets.

The club has urged supporters to rely on official communication channels and avoid being misled by unverified reports circulating online.
