BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost )-The Blantyre Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) has urged Malawians to reject leaders who prioritize personal gain over national development and citizen welfare in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking at the Limbe Presbytery’s Annual General Meeting(EGM ), the Synod’s Deputy General Reverend Baxton Maulidi expressed concern about the rise of selfish and violent leaders who exacerbate the suffering of citizens.

Rev. Maulidi emphasized the need for leaders who prioritize the needs of ordinary citizens.
“We must reject those who ignore hunger, economic hardship, and the needs of the people,” he said.
On his part part,Moderator Reverend Humphrey Zgambo revealed that political party presidents will be invited to pray together at St Michael and All Angels Church in Blantyre.
The call for responsible leadership comes as the Synod prepares for its own elections, making 2025 a crucial year for decision-making in both ecclesiastical and national spheres.
