BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Creck Sporting Club, led by their new head coach Elia Kananji, started their journey with a 1-0 loss to Ekhaya FC in the TNM Super League match played at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Kananji acknowledged that his team played better but failed to capitalize on their scoring opportunities.

“We will go back to preparations for the next game,” Kananji said, accepting the defeat.

Creck Sporting Club is currently in ninth position with 11 points from nine games played.

On the other hand, Ekhaya FC’s head coach, Enos Chatama, expressed dissatisfaction with his team’s performance despite securing maximum points.

“We didn’t play to our best, but we got the three points,” Chatama implied, highlighting areas for improvement.

Ekhaya FC is currently third in the league standings with 16 points from eight games.

In another match played on Saturday, Civil Service United and Mafco FC drew 0-0 at Civil Stadium in Lilongwe.
