Malawi renowned female gospel artist Grace Chinga is no more.
According to Pastor Chris Suya husband to Musician Thoko Suya who rushed her to the hospital, Chinga died after a short illness and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospial(QECH) Wednesday night.
“I got a call that Grace Chinga is sick. Thoko{suya} and I rushed to pick her to the Hospital (QECH) and upon arrival at the Hospital Grace Chinga was pronounced dead.
“I feel so heavy in my spirit right now. Musicians and other good people who live around Qech please may you rush to join me here. Am just with my wife and Grace’s mother here.” wrote Pastor Chris Suya of the Assemblies of God and a Landlord to the late Music icon.
Details of her death are sketchy but according to Journalist Aubrey Kusakala,Chingas remains are now at College of medicine mortuary and that people are gathering at her mothers home at Malingamoyo in Chilobwe.
Soon after the news of her death broke, social media was awash with condolence messages with others expressing shock as many Malawians were expecting more from her after the release of Ndizaulura that was been produced by her son Steave Special.
