Karonga United to recruit two Ivory Coast Players

Karonga United football club chairperson Chipanga Banda has disclosed that his team will recruit two international players from Ivory Coast by the end of this month.According to him, this is part of boosting the strength of his team in order to make it survive in the TNM Super League as well as finishing at the best position.

Banda further said that three local players from Silver Strikers are also expected to be with the Karonga side any time.

“We have already finalized everything with these players and the remaining thing is for them to come here. The thing that was delaying their presence at Karonga United was the issues of traveling documents but all is fine now,” he disclosed.

“Apart from that, we are also going to sign three local players from Silver Striker such as Chimwemwe Chisambi and Iyani Banda,” he added.

He said as Chairperson, he will make sure that the team survives in the TNM league and at a good position.

“Our plan is to finish at position 7 and people should expect good results from Karonga United in the second round,” he said.

On whether the team will managed to pay the Ivory Coast players, Banda said with the financial support from the community, everything is possible.

The team has finished the first round at number three from the bottom.
