BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Muvi wa Chilungamo pressure group says Malawians are coming from a history where politics has been dictating their lives assuring people that the pressure group was born for Malawians to manage themselves and be able to control politicians.
The pressure group said it has given itself three years to change the mindset of people in their thinking, behavior and attitudes.
The grouping is set to be launched on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Blantyre.
The group said 57 political parties have been registered in Malawi but the impact of the country is only seen in politicians for one main agenda, to get into government to become rich, steal, and make their names so big in the society, saying this kind of thinking has made Malawi poor.
Speaking to the media ahead of mindset change project launch on Friday, the group’s Commander in Chief and Pioneer of mindset change project, Bantu Saunders Jumah, said Malawi is a very rich country in the SADC region.
Jumah added that Malawi has everything to make it rich but politicians have labeled it poor for 57 years of the country’s independence.
He said that for Malawians to change mindset, there is a need to bring in a new behavior and mentality change in politicians for them to understand what this change of mindset is all about for their own people to trust them.
Jumah pointed out that mindset change project has already started baring fruits in many countries not only in Malawi including, South Africa, Zambia and Lesotho.
He disclosed that citizens of those countries theirs lives have changed politically and socially saying his critics are trying hard to see the project “Not producing tangible fruits as it has been coincided with demonstrations currently going on in the country”
’’We are preaching mindset change to the masses, there’s no impossible thing in life, what is impossible will be possible if all people change their thinking capacity,’’ said Jumah.
However, Jumah expressed sadness with the street protests that are going on in Malawi reminding government to address the sky-rocketing prices of essential goods which have gone up making all Malawians to be at pain and suffering as if they do not have a government to hear their cries.
Jumah observes that Bon Kalindo’s protests continue citing Tonse government adamant to work on national issues raised saying Muvi wa Chilungamo pressure group will create a table where the two sides of Kalindo and government to meet on one table for solutions.
