LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Soccer lovers are supposed to be fully vaccinated to access the country’s stadium when patronizing Super League games starting this weekend.
Minister of information Gospel Kazako told the news conference on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the capital Lilongwe that the decision tally with international guidelines.
Kazako said the move is to keep the football industry going as government has initiated the global style of allowing those who are vaccinated to watch the matches.
He said during the matches those that would like to be vaccinated will do so as health officials will be on the scene.
The minister said the task force will continue reviewing situations of the epidermic regularly and adjusting the control measures accordingly.
He therefore call upon the media to educate and inform the Malawians and help disseminate and facilitate effective implementation of the new guidelines.
BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s watchdog, Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) has condemned the hypocrisy being displayed by the Tonse Alliance administration in handling the Covid-19 restrictions.
In a statement made available to this publication and signed by its Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa, CDEDI has noted with regret the apparent shifting of goal posts by government as seen in the recently announced measures by the Minister of Health Khumbizie Kandodo-Chiponda.
Namiwa says much as it is commendable that there is need to be revisiting the Covid-19 preventive measures, CDEDI is of the view that government has announced the relaxing of a ban on political party gatherings by increasing allowable numbers to pave the way for political parties, including the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
“We know, for sure, this dangerous decision has been arrived at in view of the forthcoming by-elections. But we need to remind all and sundry that political rallies, no matter how small they may be, are super spreaders of this virus,” he says.
Namiwa further pointed out that it is surprising that government has maintained the stringent measures on the hospitality industry which directly employs thousands of Malawians, and millions of others indirectly.
“The current situation beats everybody’s imagination that the Tonse Alliance administration is trying hard to make Malawians believe that the virus is so sensitive that it spreads faster in the hospitality industry, entertainment, sports and religious gatherings, while it is very slow to spread in political gatherings,” he says.
He added that the Tonse Alliance administration is deliberately, and convenient to its desires, forgetting that this monster is deadly, given the toll it has taken even among our politicians, which speaks volumes of the extent of damage the disease can cause.
DEDI has since urged President Lazarus Chakwera and his administration to stop playing hide-and-seek games with this deadly pandemic.
“If the relaxation of the measures was made in good faith, we would have expected the consideration on political parties and other areas to also apply to the hospitality industry, which is now on its deathbed,” he says.
Namiwa has therefore asked Government to stop its carelessness approach in the implementation of the restrictions just to suit its desires as it smacks lack of seriousness, and has the potential to trigger resistance from the citizens.
“Above all, the recent changes in the Covid-19 protocols have, besides exposing government hypocrisy, also reminded the citizens about the careless campaign pronouncements prior to the court sanctioned June 23, 2020 Presidential polls, where the same politicians told Malawians that the pandemic did not exist in Malawi,”

By taking vaccines, many of these people who imagine they are superior to others will actually end up:
Unable to achieve successful pregnancy or carry a child full term.
Unable to participate in outdoor activities requiring any real level of exertion.
Unable to work jobs other than menial labor, due to loss of cognitive function.
Unable to meaningfully socialize with family and friends due to losses in cognition and short-term memory.
(The good news is that I believe people who turn to nutrition can overcome a lot of the spike protein damage from early vaccines, but they must stop poisoning themselves with boosters shots, or nothing can save them.)
In essence, those who take spike protein injections in their quest for a vaccine passport are actually signing up for a lifetime of vaccine suffering. They will be prisoners in their own bodies for as long as they live, which may not be much longer if they continue to take spike protein “booster shots.”
Those very booster shots, of course, are far easier to promote to people who have already been cognitively damaged by the first two shots, suffering from impaired reasoning and emotional instability. We are now witnessing this in vaccinated people as they scream and condemn others in wild-eyed rants that you can find on TikTok and YouTube.

Wall Street shares of all the major Covid vaccine companies plummeted by 20% to 30% as Mr. Gates announced that he was joining the urgent Citizen Petition filed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Children’s Health Defense organization calling on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to immediately withdraw all the COVID vaccines from the market.
Gates continued: “Too many people who take these vaccines drop dead…one day, two days, five days after getting the shot. LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera who is also newly installed chair for Southern Africa Development (SADC) bemoans on western countries behavior of putting roadblocks on Covid-19 vaccine to reach the region countries.
Chakwera said Covid-19 is a global crisis that need to be treated with caution as access to vaccine is a key to every health nation.
The Malawi leader said one such solution is the successful rollout of a region-wide vaccination programme.
He said with help of members of SADC he will make sure that all the roadblocks are pulled out and making sure that the region has access.
“The efforts made thus far by member states are worthy of applause, but we all know that we are far from the desired goal of reaching herd immunity and reducing high transmission rates,” said Chakwera.
The Malawi leader assures of tackling the roadblocks standing in the way in quest to reach the goal of access to Covid-19 vaccine by confronting the toxic nationalism that is causing some nations in the world to hold millions of vaccine doses and deny other nations access to the same.
He added that SADC has the rights to produce vaccines for their own populations.
“This pandemic is a global health crisis, not a national one, and as SADC, we must stand united in opposing all forms of“vaxscrimination” hampering our ability to recover from it,” said Chakwera.
SADC region manages to get two percent of Covid-19 vaccines according to the reports.
Chakwera ascends to SADC chairship to the next twelve months.
Ghana’s minority lawmakers and anti-corruption campaigners are demanding a probe into the award of a contract for the supply of Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccines.
It follows a publication by a Norwegian newspaper that the government of Ghana bought the vaccines at a price which is 90 percent more than the factory price.
The report revealed that the government purchased the Sputnik V vaccine from an Emirati official and a Norwegian citizen charged with money laundering.
Although Ghana’s parliament gave approval for the purchase of a dose of the vaccine for $12 the government paid $19 for a dose of the vaccine.
Ghana’s Health Ministry which has so far paid $5 Million for the transaction said it was compelled to engage a middle man due to difficulties in getting the vaccines from the Russian government.

But this justification has been rejected by the minority MPs and some anti-corruption campaigners.
Minority MP on the health committee Dr. Sebastian Sandare is accusing government of using the COVID pandemic to loot the state coffers.
“I find the explanation strange and unacceptable. I think it calls for investigation and the minister to be hauled before the committee to explain why they have to use middle men because we are talking about health”, Dr Sandare noted.
A Civil Society Organization Tax Justice Network has also criticized the government for its handling of the transaction. It is demanding a probe to ensure that the country is not short-changed.

Meanwhile Ghana’s Health Ministry has contracted another supplier, S. L. Global Limited to purchase five million doses of the drug at $26 per dose.
Tanzania has said that it doesn’t have plans of importing Covid-19 vaccines to protect citizens.
The country’s Health Minister Dorothy Gwajima is reported as saying that Tanzania is yet to decide whether or not it wants to import the Covid-19 vaccines.
Tanzania is already reeling under surge in infections and the virus related deaths.
Gwajima said “For now the government has no plans to receive the Covid vaccine being distributed in other countries,” Dr Gwajima said.
President John Magufuli has already warned health officials in his country against acquiring coronavirus vaccines.

Magufuli had said that the vaccines could harm the population, but he didn’t provide any evidence to back that claim.
“The ministry of health should be careful, they should not hurry to try these vaccines without doing research, not every vaccine is important to us, we should be careful. We should not be used as ‘guinea pigs’,” Mr Magufuli said.
He added that “Vaccinations are dangerous. If the white man was able to come up with vaccinations, he should have found a vaccination for Aids, cancer and TB by now.”
President Magufuli who believes in prayers and taking precautions, said “Many countries have lockdown, but in Tanzania there are no plan of lockdown and we’ll never introduce lockdown because our God is alive and he will continue to protects us.”

CHAKWERA— We have finally secured doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera on Sunday, January 31, 2021 disclosed that the country has secured AstraZeneca Covid vaccine to be administered from March this year.
Speaking during his weekly briefing at the New State House in capita Lilongwe, Chakwera said the secured doses of the vaccine would arrive in the country end February, with initial roll-out not expected until March.
Describing the development as a “breakthrough”, the President slammed people that are spreading disinformation on the vaccine.
“The breakthrough I am referring to here is that, through the Covax [Covid Vaccines Global Access] facility, we have finally secured doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to give as many citizens as possible immunity against Covid. The first consignment of the vaccine will arrive at the end of February in readiness for rollout in March, starting with 20 percent of the population, which will prioritise frontline workers, the elderly, and those with underlying conditions.
“Our own scientists in our own labs will verify the safety of the vaccine and will give you full information so that no one is misled by social media lies and propaganda against vaccinations that the scientific community has worked hard to provide to save lives,” Chakwera said.
The President, who was speaking exactly 317 days since the first case of coronavirus was registered in Malawi, and 19 days after he declared a State of National Disaster due to rising cases of Covid, also said he had directed Ministry of Health officials to work hand-in-hand with College of Medicine scientists so that the country could take “ownership of our own scientific research into this virus”.
He said the scientists would be needed as a security measure against rumour mongering.
The President further said, as stakeholders continued to work from all angles in the fight against Covid, Malawi had made another breakthrough in terms of laboratory capabilities.
“For the first time since this pandemic hit us, Malawi’s scientists at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust lab at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital now have the capacity to sequence the virus that causes Covid. Additionally, we have partnered with the African and United States Centres for Disease Control to bring the same capacity to the National Public Health lab in Lilongwe.
“Being able to sequence the virus will reduce our reliance on labs in South Africa for that service. As a demonstration of the significance of this viral sequencing capacity, it has been confirmed that the new strain of the virus from South Africa is indeed here in Malawi. This confirms that we were right to treat this new wave with the seriousness it demanded, and so we must stay the course in preventing it from spreading,” Chakwera said.
In December last year, Secretary for Health Charles Mwansambo told The Daily Times that at least 3.8 million Malawians, or about 20 percent of the country’s population, were earmarked for Covid vaccination set to be administered in the first half of this year.
He further said there were three candidates of vaccines that Malawi was looking at, which are Pfizer-BioNTech Covid vaccine, Moderna Covid-19 vaccine and AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.
He said two vaccines— the Pfizer- BioNTech Covid vaccine as well as Moderna Covid vaccine— needed more investments in the cold chain while the AstraZeneca one could be stored at around two to eight degrees Celsius and cost less than the other two.
As of Sunday, 1,788 Covid patients had recovered in 24 hours and 17,334 coronavirus tests had been carried out in the past eight days, 29 percent of which were positive for Covid.
BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Tanzania’s president John Magufuli has warned health officials in the country against acquiring Covid-19 vaccines which could harm the population.
Magufuli made the remarks during the launch of a public forest in Chato, Geita Region on Wednesday, January 27.
In his speech, the president also disclosed that he is aware that some Tanzanians left the country to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and instead, they have returned home infected with a “strange” coronavirus.
According to Magufuli, the vaccinations are dangerous and the ministry of healthy in the country should do research before administering the vaccines to avoid being used as ‘guinea pigs’.
Magufuli also called into question why foreign nations had not found vaccinations for AIDS, Malaria or Cancer if they had good intentions with the COVID-19 vaccine.
He added that the country managed to contain the virus and that people are taking precautions coupled with prayers and traditional medicine, including steam inhalation to deal with coronavirus.
He urged Tanzanians to continue trusting God who has protected the country from Covid-19 pandemic.
Last year, Magufuli declared Tanzania free of Covid-19 and stopped publishing official data about coronavirus in the country in June, 2020.
LAGOS-(MaraviPost)-Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua and leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has backed vaccines for the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) amid rising of conspiracies and controversies across the world.
Prophet T.B. Joshua observes that any vaccine has its side effects saying in some people jabbed by the vaccine should not set the vaccine as bad.
“Concerning the ongoing situation in the world, I have received thousands of emails on the COVID-19 vaccine,” the cleric stated in a special message broadcast on his Christian channel on Emmanuel TV.
“No doubt, there are many conspiracy theories surrounding this vaccine. However, my belief is that our governments are only trying to look for a way out of this very challenging situation, although there may be bad faith in certain quarters,” he acknowledged.
“Many people have complained of some negative reactions but this is always the case with vaccines of this nature. I remember I used to have such reactions whenever I took chloroquine,” he continued, citing his personal experiences.
“That does not mean chloroquine is bad. It works positively for many. At this time, our governments need our support and our cooperation – because the world is in a dilemma,” he concluded in his customary parabolic fashion.
Earlier in the footage, Joshua had spoken about the ‘New Anointing Water’ and ‘New Anointing Sticker’ he had released at the beginning of 2021, stressing the importance of having godly intentions when using them.
“Jesus looks at the motive of our actions but men look at the action. I mean, Jesus looks at why we do what we do but men look at what we do,” he explained, adding “that is why we must not be in a haste to judge someone’s actions”.
“Once any selfish intention or motive is involved – that is, if money exchanges hands in whatever way – the anointing in the bottle will go away, leaving only ordinary water in the bottle,” he then sternly warned.
The cleric stressed that these ‘faith tools’ would be sent freely to people. “The Anointing Water is God’s gift to us. What it costs to get to you is our own contribution. The level of our sacrifice will determine the level of anointing we enjoy,” he clarified.
Clips showing this Anointing Water being shipped worldwide from Paris, France were subsequently shown, alongside the reaction of people who ‘fell under the anointing’ by merely touching its packaging, notably a blind South African lady who claimed she regained her sight.
A video further showed someone ministering Joshua’s Anointing Water to a critically ill coronavirus patient in an isolation ward who dramatically recovered and was released from the hospital shortly afterwards.
