BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-In an effort to contain further spread of COVID-19 pandemic through the country’s entry points, the Presidential Task-force on COVID-19 has revised and tightens guidelines on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) requirements on all outgoing and incoming travelers which are expected to come into effect from May 1, 2022.
This follows the meeting that the Taskforce’s technical team held on Wednesday April 27, 2022 in the capital city Lilongwe.
COVID-19 Presidential taskforce tightens PCR requirement on travelers
According to the statement released on Friday April 29,2022 and signed by the Health Ministry Secretary Charles Mwansambo, the new guidelines will include Lift Mandatory Polymerase Chain Reaction ( PCR) test results requirements for outgoing travellers where obtaining PCR or Rapid Diagonostic Test ( RDT) results will depend on the destination country’s requirements.
Here, the statement further clarifies that requirements for full vaccination will also be determined by country of destination.
On second guideline, the Taskforce says arriving travelers of nationalities, including Malawians will in addition required to produce a negative PCR based COVID-19 certificate that is not order than 72 hours at the time of arrival and be expected to show a valid electronically verifiable COVID-19 full vaccination certificate at point of entry.
“Arriving travelers that are not able to show an electronically verifiable COVID-19 vaccine certificate at the point of entry, shall be expected to access COVID-19 vaccine that will be available for free at the point of entry before being processed to enter or re-enter the country,” reads the guidelines statement.
It adds, “Travelers that are not able to produce a valid electronically verifiable COVID-19 vaccine certificate and refuse to access COVID-19 offered free at point of entry will be required to undergo institutional quarantine for symptoms monitoring for 10 days at their cost”.
Despite having a drop in number of COVID-19 cases within past two months, there are still fears of having the number rise again as South Africa is reported to have been hit by what is believed to be 5th wave of the pandemic from Thursday this week.
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s civil rights group, Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative (CDEDI) has warned all teachers and health workers to desist from the temptation of enticing children to get COVID-19 vaccine without parental consent.
According to the statement signed by the CDEDI Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa CDEDI has appealed to the health workers to only administer the jab on children who have willingly accepted to be vaccinated.
Malawi rolls out Children Vaccines
“Most importantly ,are in the presence of their parents or guardians, otherwise forced vaccination is an outright violation of the children’s human rights,” reads part of the statement.
The caution follows what transpired at Nsalu Trading Center in Lilongwe this week, where the ministry of health officials launched the second phase of the COVID-19 express initiative.
Namiwa added that CDEDI officials have been on the ground on the area, and have observed that over hundred children got jab without any physical evidence of consent from either parent or guardian. Unfortunately the whole exercise depended on the children ‘s verbal consent.
He further stated the development brings the obvious fear that children being what they are and some of them might get vaccinated out of the excitement or peer pressure.
In his last statement Namiwa emphasized that getting a jab especially in case of children, should never be without parents consent.
The development comes after health ministry halted mandatory COVID-19 vaccines to public officers and media personnel
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse government through Ministry of Health has put on hold plans of administering mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations which was slated from January, 2022 to frontline workers who include health care workers, journalists and security officers.
Minister responsible Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda said mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations will be rolled out across the country to increase uptake of the vaccines after observing that many are shunning the vaccines.
The Ministry’s Spokesperson, Adrian Chikumbe is quoted in the media having said the Ministry is in the process of getting feedback from the citizenry on the enforcement of mandatory COVID-19 vaccines and thereafter, it will consult the Office of the Attorney General for direction.
In view of this, Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa, Rodgers Kamphangala, has accused government of announcing plans to administer mandatory COVID-19 vaccination without consulting the citizens.
Kamphangala faulted the Minister of Health that in the first place she announced that vaccinations will not be mandatory, saying it will be to one’s choice asking her to tell Malawians the truth behind mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations.
He said by now many Malawians would have received the COVID-19 vaccines had it been that government was quick to dismiss conspiracy theories associated with the pandemic and the vaccines saying it has contributed to low uptake of the vaccines.
The supporter reminded government on alleged news stories of government faking figures of COVID-19, doctors cashing MK100,000 for certifying death due to COVID-19
“Today, Malawians are shunning the vaccines because of the gap in information sharing between government and the citizenry,” said Kamphangala.
Kamphangala has again called upon President Chakwera not to trust his inner circle saying is planning for his downfall observing .
He observed that by holding mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations is clearly speaking for itself that government is afraid of its citizens from being against it.
Kamphangala therefore advised government to learn to always consult citizens in matters affecting people.
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi High Court Judge Kenyatta Nyirenda on Thursday, January 13, 2022 dismissed Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) and freelance journalist Mundango Nyirenda application against implementation of mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for some sectors.
The case has been dismissed with costs.
In his ruling delivered Judge Nyirenda said the two sued wrong parties and that they lack sufficient interest in the matter.
CDEDI and Nyirenda wanted to stop the Ministry of Health from implementing the mandatory administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
They also wanted Parliament to stop demanding COVID-19 certificates from its employees as a precondition for accessing Parliament premises.
The application was also meant to stop all private and public institutions from demanding vaccination certificates from employees and customers as a requirement for accessing premises.
Lawyer representing the claimants, Oscar Taulo, told the court that the COVID-19 vaccine is just an experimental vaccine that should not be taken seriously.
“Coronavirus vaccines, [in fact] all the vaccines, are short term and not yet approved by health authorities. They, therefore, cannot be forced on people,” Taulo said.
However, Attorney General (AG) Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda described Sylvester Namiwa and Mundango as trouble-makers who have nothing to do with health issues and who cannot stand on behalf of Malawians on health issues.
Chakaka Nyirenda also argued that the applicants had sued the wrong public institutions.
According to the AG, the applicants wrongly addressed the Speaker by saying “Speaker of Parliament”, instead of Speaker of the National Assembly, and that, as such, they “misinformed the court”.
He added that Mundango misled the court by saying that he was sent back at Parliament Building for not having a COVID-19 certificate.
The AG said, as opposed to what Mundango said, there was no such meeting at Parliament Building.
“The applicants Mundango Nyirenda and Sylvester Namiwa are mercenary, busybodies and trouble-makers that do not know what they are looking for, “ Chakaka Nyirenda said.
According to the AG, the decision by CDEDI was only taken by one person and not all the board members.
He argued that CDEDI just copied a document from the International Criminal Court, representing them as facts that the court needs to consider.
The AG asked the court to interpret the importance of the vaccine, citing the World Health Organisation as one of the bodies that urges the public to get inoculated.
“The decision by the Clerk of Parliament to issue the mandate was purely a decision to its employees. As an employer, it [Parliament] has a duty to protect employees from infectious diseases,” Chakaka Nyirenda said.
Meanwhile, the claimants lawyer, Oscar Taulo says he will sit down with his clients to map the way forward.
But AG Chakaka Nyirenda says that his office is happy with court for agreeing with his arguments.
BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The High Court is tomorrow Monday, January 3, 2022 expected to make its ruling over government’s implementation of the mandatory Covid-19 vaccination campaign and the matter will be presided over by Judge Kenyata Nyirenda.
The interparte hearing follows an application Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) and freelance journalist Mundango Nyirenda made before the Lilongwe High Court on December 25,2021.
CDEDI and Mr. Nyirenda, applied to the court to stop the Ministry of Health from implementing the mandatory administration of the Covid-19 vaccine; stopping Parliament from demanding Covid-19 certificates from employees in order to access parliament premises; and also stopping all private and public institutions from demanding vaccination certificates from their employees and customers to have access into their premises.
In its application CDEDI zeroed in on the matter, following Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo-Chiponda’s announcement that all public servants will be forced to take a jab come January, 2022, on one hand while parliament has been sending back those that failed to show proof of vaccination to enter its premises.
This has caused public outcry and unnecessary panic among members of the public, hence the decision to move the courts on the matter.
Apart from CDEDI, state funded Malawi Human Rights Commission also bashed government on the mandatory vaccination saying is a gross violation of human rights.
Media Institute of Southern Africa, Malawi chapter also weighed in on the directive and called on government to consult before implementation of the said mandatory vaccination exercise.
Currently, Malawi is among the African nations with the lowest uptake of the vaccine. Centers are characterized by low turnout.
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s civil rights group Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) has obtained court injunction stopping President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse administration on mandatory COVID-19 vaccines.
The court has however set January 3, 2022 as the date for an interparte hearing on an injunction sought by the CDEDI, stopping the Ministry of Health from implementing the mandatory administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The hearing is grounded on an injunction sought by the CDEDI, stopping the Ministry of Health from implementing the mandatory administration of the Covid-19 vaccine; stopping Parliament from demanding Covid-19 certificates from employees in order to access parliament premises; and also stopping all private and public institutions from demanding vaccination certificates from their employees and customers to have access into their premises.
CDEDI Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa has confirmed of the development saying his organisation is the second applicant on the matter, while a concerned citizen, Mr. Mundango Nyirenda, is the first applicant.
“Through lead counsel Oscar Taulo, CDEDI is also applying for a judicial review for the court to decide whether the issues raised above are constitutional or not,” he said.
Court records show that the matter is before Judge Kenyata Nyirenda.
In its submissions, according to Namiwa, CDEDI has zeroed in on the matter following Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo-Chiponda’s announcement that all public servants will be forced to take a jab come January, 2022, on one hand while parliament has been sending back those that failed to show proof of vaccination to enter its premises.
“This has caused public outcry and unnecessary panic among members of the public, hence the decision to move the courts on the matter,” Namiwa says.
Decision by CDEDI against forced jabs has attracted interest of other concerned bodies of which recently was the state funded Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) which expressed dissatisfaction with the move by government to undertake mandatory vaccination exercise.
Below is CDEDI statement:
CDEDI SEEKS COURT’S INTERVENTION OVER MANDATORY COVID-19 VACCINATION CAMPAIGN
The Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI), is informing all concerned Malawians and the general public that it has sought the court’s intervention over government’s implementation of the mandatory Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
The High Court in Lilongwe, therefore, has set January 3, 2022 as the date for an interparte hearing on an injunction sought by the CDEDI, stopping the Ministry of Health from implementing the mandatory administration of the Covid-19 vaccine; stopping Parliament from demanding Covid-19 certificates from employees in order to access parliament premises; and also stopping all private and public institutions from demanding vaccination certificates from their employees and customers to have access into their premises.
CDEDI is the second applicant on the matter, while a concerned citizen, Mr. Mundango Nyirenda, is the first applicant. Through lead counsel Oscar Taulo, CDEDI is also applying for a judicial review for the court to decide whether the issues raised above are constitutional or not.
Meanwhile, the matter is before Judge Kenyata Nyirenda.
CDEDI has zeroed in on the matter, following Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo-Chiponda’s announcement that all public servants will be forced to take a jab come January, 2022, on one hand while parliament has been sending back those that failed to show proof of vaccination to enter its premises.

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s civil right body Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 told President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse government in the face that should stop forcing Malawians getting COVID-19 vaccines.
CDEDI told the news conference in the capital Lilongwe that forcing citizens to get jabs is against people’s right including World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines.
The grouping indicated that if government continues with the idea of forcing jab uptake, will sort court intervention.
“Instead of imposing the unwarranted vaccine, government should promote healthy living such as keeping fit and avoiding sugars and processed foods, which are making people vulnerable to many non-communicable diseases and, by extension, Covid-19.
“This is a total violation of the rights of those employees and a violation of the Employment Act. CDEDI is appealing to all those subjected to such kind of treatment to come forward so that such employers should be dragged to court,” says Namiwa.
He concluded, “Last, but not the least, CDEDI is appealing to all well-wishers to join hands in moving the courts to stop the forced Covid-19 vaccine, when its effectiveness of the same has not yet been scientifically proven”.
CDEDI position comes barely days after Minister of Health Khumbize Chiponda Kandodo announced that there will be forced jabs on civil servants including journalists.
Belowis CDEDI statement signed by its Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa:
WE SAY NO TO MANDATORY COVID-19 VACCINATION CAMPAIGN
The Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI), has noted with great concern growing tendency by the majority of Malawians who choose just to resign to fate, suffer in silence or, worse still, take action when it is too late to make meaningful change or impact.
CDEDI’s concern is being registered at a time when Malawians have chosen to remain silent, and are just watching the Tonse Alliance administration, under President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, forcing the Covid-19 vaccination on both willing and unwilling citizens, come January, 2022.
The Chakwera administration has already announced the mandatory Covid-19 vaccination for all public servants, including teachers and our men and women in uniform, or risk being fired.
We at the CDEDI are stunned with government’s directive, bearing in mind that countries with highest vaccination rates, such as Israel, the United Kingdom (UK) and the whole Europe, are reporting increased cases of the Covid-19, whereas in Malawi, there are nil deaths, with only 3.4 percent vaccination rate.
What is the motive behind Malawi government’s directive? Thus far, there is no evidence that the booster jabs are needed or necessary. However, it is proving risky because not many tests have been conducted on the vaccine’s side effects.
That said, we believe we should learn to live with Covid-19, the way we have done with other diseases that have rocked our nation. The fight against Covid19 should not overshadow the fights against malaria, HIV and Aids, cancer, TB, BP, malnutrition and, of course, dehumanising poverty, which are equally taking a toll on our nation.
We are appealing to the Tonse Alliance administration to desist from merely copying what other countries are doing, for example, implementing lockdowns and mandatory policies without any basis.
Instead of imposing the unwarranted vaccine, government should promote healthy living such as keeping fit and avoiding sugars and processed foods, which are making people vulnerable to many non-communicable diseases and, by extension, Covid-19.
CDEDI strongly believes that Malawians have a right to freely choose life and go for the vaccine, while others can also choose life by deciding not to take the jab. It should not be a compulsory affair.
Malawians may wish to know that there are endless protests in Australia, the UK, and the United States of America (USA) against the forced jabs. However, such events have been given total black out by the reputable media houses in Europe.
Many people cannot speak freely and share their opinions on Covid-19 because they fear for their jobs, and censorship on Facebook and Twitter. This is making people wonder whether this is about Covid-19, or something else?
We at CDEDI, have also noted with concern that some employers are packing their employees into trucks to various vaccination centres to get the forced jab.
This is a total violation of the rights of those employees and a violation of the Employment Act. CDEDI is appealing to all those subjected to such kind of treatment to come forward so that such employers should be dragged to court.
Last, but not the least, CDEDI is appealing to all well-wishers to join hands in moving the courts to stop the forced Covid-19 vaccine, when its effectiveness of the same has not yet been scientifically proven.

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Soccer lovers are supposed to be fully vaccinated to access the country’s stadium when patronizing Super League games starting this weekend.
Minister of information Gospel Kazako told the news conference on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the capital Lilongwe that the decision tally with international guidelines.
Kazako said the move is to keep the football industry going as government has initiated the global style of allowing those who are vaccinated to watch the matches.
He said during the matches those that would like to be vaccinated will do so as health officials will be on the scene.
The minister said the task force will continue reviewing situations of the epidermic regularly and adjusting the control measures accordingly.
He therefore call upon the media to educate and inform the Malawians and help disseminate and facilitate effective implementation of the new guidelines.
BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s watchdog, Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) has condemned the hypocrisy being displayed by the Tonse Alliance administration in handling the Covid-19 restrictions.
In a statement made available to this publication and signed by its Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa, CDEDI has noted with regret the apparent shifting of goal posts by government as seen in the recently announced measures by the Minister of Health Khumbizie Kandodo-Chiponda.
Namiwa says much as it is commendable that there is need to be revisiting the Covid-19 preventive measures, CDEDI is of the view that government has announced the relaxing of a ban on political party gatherings by increasing allowable numbers to pave the way for political parties, including the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
“We know, for sure, this dangerous decision has been arrived at in view of the forthcoming by-elections. But we need to remind all and sundry that political rallies, no matter how small they may be, are super spreaders of this virus,” he says.
Namiwa further pointed out that it is surprising that government has maintained the stringent measures on the hospitality industry which directly employs thousands of Malawians, and millions of others indirectly.
“The current situation beats everybody’s imagination that the Tonse Alliance administration is trying hard to make Malawians believe that the virus is so sensitive that it spreads faster in the hospitality industry, entertainment, sports and religious gatherings, while it is very slow to spread in political gatherings,” he says.
He added that the Tonse Alliance administration is deliberately, and convenient to its desires, forgetting that this monster is deadly, given the toll it has taken even among our politicians, which speaks volumes of the extent of damage the disease can cause.
DEDI has since urged President Lazarus Chakwera and his administration to stop playing hide-and-seek games with this deadly pandemic.
“If the relaxation of the measures was made in good faith, we would have expected the consideration on political parties and other areas to also apply to the hospitality industry, which is now on its deathbed,” he says.
Namiwa has therefore asked Government to stop its carelessness approach in the implementation of the restrictions just to suit its desires as it smacks lack of seriousness, and has the potential to trigger resistance from the citizens.
“Above all, the recent changes in the Covid-19 protocols have, besides exposing government hypocrisy, also reminded the citizens about the careless campaign pronouncements prior to the court sanctioned June 23, 2020 Presidential polls, where the same politicians told Malawians that the pandemic did not exist in Malawi,”
(Natural News) Vaccine pushers are trying to divide the world into vaxxed vs. unvaxxed by denying unvaccinated people access to society (via vaccine passports). But they’re in for a shock… and a twist. The real division that will unfold is between the damaged vaccinated people vs. the undamaged unvaccinated people.
Damaged vaccinated people will:
Suffer cognitive damage that unfolds a lot like accelerating mental retardation.
Suffer cardiovascular damage that prevents them from carrying out normal, mundane tasks like carrying a bag of groceries up a flight of stairs.
Suffer infertility and reproductive damage that makes them unable to reproduce.
Suffer autoimmune damage that leads to extreme risks of ADE and hyperinflammation upon exposure to future circulating pathogens.
Undamaged people, on the other hand, will appear to possess “super powers” in their abilities to think and function in a normal, healthy way. While the vaccinated half of society will be mentally and physically disabled, unvaccinated people will maintain their full faculties and their ability to have children and participate in society.
The vaccinated think they got passports to freedom, but they really bought tickets to Hell
The real irony in all this is how vaccinated people think they are being granted access to the world via vaccine passports, but they will mostly spend the rest of their lives in hospitals, couches, beds or coffins because their bodies and brains will not function the way they used to. By taking vaccines, many of these people who imagine they are superior to others will actually end up:
Unable to achieve successful pregnancy or carry a child full term.
Unable to participate in outdoor activities requiring any real level of exertion.
Unable to work jobs other than menial labor, due to loss of cognitive function.
Unable to meaningfully socialize with family and friends due to losses in cognition and short-term memory.
(The good news is that I believe people who turn to nutrition can overcome a lot of the spike protein damage from early vaccines, but they must stop poisoning themselves with boosters shots, or nothing can save them.)
In essence, those who take spike protein injections in their quest for a vaccine passport are actually signing up for a lifetime of vaccine suffering. They will be prisoners in their own bodies for as long as they live, which may not be much longer if they continue to take spike protein “booster shots.”
Those very booster shots, of course, are far easier to promote to people who have already been cognitively damaged by the first two shots, suffering from impaired reasoning and emotional instability. We are now witnessing this in vaccinated people as they scream and condemn others in wild-eyed rants that you can find on TikTok and YouTube.
Witness some of the insanity for yourself:
If you want to have “super powers” compared to the damaged, disabled vaccinated masses, just invoke natural immunity and beat covid with your God-given immune system. Before long, you will be among those of us who inherit the Earth as the vax-damaged recede into their homes, hospitals and coffins, all victims of the suicidal delusion that imagines spike protein bioweapons will somehow protect you from a pandemic.
