BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has announced that it has secured the free-to-air media rights for the 2025/26 English Premier League (EPL) and FA Cup seasons.
This development means that MBC will broadcast live matches and highlights of the two prestigious football competitions on its channels, MBCTV1 and MBC2 On-the-Go.
According to Chisomo Mwamadi, MBC’s public relations and customer manager, the corporation has been licensed to beam 33 live EPL matches every Saturday at 4pm, as well as four live FA Cup games covering rounds three, four, five, and the quarter-finals.
In addition to live matches, MBC will also broadcast EPL highlights and repeat broadcasts of EPL and FA Cup matches, along with official support programming.
The agreement was reached following successful negotiations with Infront Sports & Media AG and with the greenlight from global rights holders.
“This means more goals, more action, and more unforgettable football moments, all for free and all on MBC,” Mwamadi said in a press release.
