BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) has partnered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) to support its annual conference, donating MK10 million to facilitate the event.
The partnership was marked by a symbolic cheque presentation ceremony held at TNM Headquarters in Blantyre.
Presenting the dummy cheque, Patrick Kadzitche, TNM Chief Financial Officer, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for collaborating with ICAM.
“We are delighted to partner with ICAM, and our donation of MK10 million is a testament to our commitment to supporting initiatives that promote professional development and economic growth in Malawi,” Kadzitche said.
Receiving the donation on behalf of ICAM, Charles Chimpeni, an official from the institute, expressed gratitude to TNM for its generosity.
“This donation will go a long way in ensuring the success of our annual conference, and we appreciate TNM’s commitment to supporting our efforts,” Chimpeni said.
He also thanked TNM for offering free internet services to support an ICAM indaba, further solidifying the partnership between the two organizations.
The partnership between TNM and ICAM is not new, as evidenced by a similar collaboration in 2023 where TNM contributed MK3 million to support ICAM’s lakeshore conference.
According to Noel Zigowa, ICAM’s Chief Executive Officer at the time, the donation cemented the mutual relationship between the two institutions.
The ICAM conference provides a platform for professionals to share new ideas, measure successes, and assess the contribution of accountants in the country. TNM’s support for the conference aligns with its corporate social responsibility goals, demonstrating its commitment to promoting professional development and economic growth in Malawi.
As noted by Lloyd, TNM’s contribution to ICAM’s conference allows professionals to share ideas and assess the successes of accountants in the country.
This year’s conference is expected to follow suit, providing valuable insights and networking opportunities for attendees.
The partnership between TNM and ICAM is a testament to the growing recognition of the importance of collaboration between the private sector and professional associations in promoting economic development.
As Malawi continues to strive for sustainable economic growth, partnerships like this will play a crucial role in shaping the country’s future.

The company’s partnership with Mama Money, for example, allows for affordable money transfers from South Africa using the Mama Money app to TNM Mpamba accounts in Malawi.
As the ICAM conference approaches, anticipation is building among professionals and stakeholders.
With TNM’s support, the conference is expected to be a resounding success, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration.
