
MCHINJI-(MaraviPost)-The Mchinji Police station is keeping in custody a 47-year old man and his son after the former willfully hired his child to write the current Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations on his behalf.
Mchinji Police spokesperson Kaitano Lubrino, identified the suspects as Andrew Mvula, the father who works as a clerk at Mchinji District Council, was caught cheating after he allegedly hired his son, also known as Andrew, to write his exams for him.
The suspect, who hails from Traditional Authority (T.A.) Mkanda in the district, is among 345 students writing this year’s MSCE exams at Mchinji Cluster Centre, where three secondary schools are writing the examinations.
