‘Tracker’ Replaces Abby McEnany’s Velma After Multiple Surprise Cast Exits

Tracker brought in someone new to fill Velma’s place after season 3 introduced several surprising cast exits.

During the Sunday, November 2, episode of the hit CBS series, Reenie (Fiona Rene) interviewed several candidates to take over for Velma (Abby McEnany) before landing on a student named Mel. The newcomer was a fan of Reenie’s career, expressed interest in her work with Colter (Justin Hartley) and surprised Us with a revelation about her mother’s unsolved murder.

The dynamic continued to play out after Mel was officially hired, which is when she met Randy (Chris Lee). Mel’s addition to the show comes after Tracker wrote off multiple main characters in the season 3 premiere last month.

Reenie acknowledged Velma’s absence, telling Randy in the October episode, “Honestly, I have no idea. She went to go see [her wife] Teddi. She’s trying to save her marriage. I have a whole bunch of resumes to review this week.”

Randy, meanwhile, received a text from cousin Bobby (Eric Graise).

“Thx. Miss u 2. Tell the gang I say hi,” read the message. Randy elaborated on Bobby’s offscreen exit, saying, “He’s killing it. He quit his job officially at the repair shop and now he is some encryption specialist at a new startup.”

Randy continued: “Between the stock options and the salary, he is bringing home the bacon.”

Tracker, which premiered in February 2024, introduced fictional survivalist Colter (Hartley) as he travels the country to help solve various missing persons cases. As Colter has received more and more help, the ensemble cast has grown with their respective characters, includinghandlers Teddi (Robin Weigert) and Velma, hacker Bobby and attorney Reenie.

After joining Tracker in season 1, Weigert’s character was written off in the premiere with her wife, Velma, admitting that they needed some distance. Velma then started working with Reenie and Teddi wasn’t discussed again in season 2.

“[Teddi] is going to be there for a while. She is helping her mom get sorted. I was getting in the way you might say and it really wasn’t good,” Velma said at the beginning of season 2. “So I came back. Don’t you worry because I am keeping busy.”

Season 2 then caused some to be concerned about when Graise was noticeably absent from six episodes. News later broke that Graise and McEnany wouldn’t be coming back — at least for now.

“I do think it’s evolving. If I can’t evolve those characters — Randy or Reenie or Bobby — they’re not just people that just pick up the phone and go, ‘OK, here is the answer.’ That’s when the show is phoning it in,” executive producer Elwood Reid exclusively told Us Weekly in May. “The challenge is when you got to learn about them, which I thought was interesting. That’s the challenge of the show is not having it fall into a formula.”

Which ‘Tracker’ Stars Have Left Justin Hartley’s CBS Show So Far?

Reid noted that they didn’t want Tracker to “fall into complacency.”

“The only rule I really have of the show is each week Colter is going to come to a new place and there’s going to be a new case. How he gets those answers and what he uses on the team, that’s all something that’s up for grabs,” Reid teased. “Meeting these [local] weird characters is something we’re going to try to do more of as the season goes on. Just Colter coming in and interacting with other characters. That’s fun to see Justin flex those muscles with really good guest cast members.”

Ahead of season 3, Reid defended the decision to shake up the show.

“Justin has to carry so much of the show. So I don’t want the other characters that are in the show to just be phone-a-friend where whenever he’s in trouble, he just picks up the phone. The challenge in season 3 has been how do we build actual good story out of [it],” Reid teased.

He continued: “It’s just building out those story lines. The challenge we set up for ourselves this season was to build out those people’s world a little bit. It’s about trying to get a little bit of lightness [into the show] because sometimes Colter is doing some really dark and heavy stuff. It’s life or death.”

Tracker airs on CBS Sundays at 8 p.m. ET before streaming the next day on Paramount+.

Britney Spears Deletes Instagram Amid Kevin Federline’s Memoir Controversy

Britney Spears seemingly deactivated her Instagram account amid a public battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Originally reported on by People on Sunday, November 2, Us Weekly confirmed that the account held by Spears, 43, could no longer be found that day.

Us has reached out to a representative for Spears for comment.

The alleged deactivation comes after a string of controversial claims from Federline regarding Spears’ behavior while raising the pair’s two children, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s Timeline: From Divorce to Coparenting

The news also comes less than one week after a restaurant manager exclusively told Us that the singer was not acting erratically while out for dinner in Westlake Village, California, one day prior — despite a report from the Daily Mail that claimed otherwise.

Additionally, an Instagram post shared by Spears on October 7 sparked concern after the pop star was seen with “bruises on her arms and bandages wrapped around her hands and wrists,” per People’s report on Sunday.

The outlet noted that Spears’ caption on the video included details of how she had “fallen down stairs” at a friend’s house, and also offered insight into her headspace. “My boys had to leave and go back to Maui. This is the way I express myself and pray through art … father who art in heaven,” the caption reportedly read. “I’m not here for concern or pity, I just want to be a good woman and be better … and I do have wonderful support, so have a brilliant day !!!”

Britney Spears’ Dating History: From Kevin Federline to Sam Asghari

Of the stair incident, Spears wrote, per the outlet, “It was horrible. It snaps out now and then, not sure if it’s broken but for now it’s snapped in !!! Thank u god.”

Spears’ restaurant outing came one day after Federline released his memoir, You Thought You Knew. The book features several damning claims, while the professional dancer’s promotional tour also delved into his allegations.

The Daily Mail had reported that on October 22, Spears and her assistant had dined at the Mexican restaurant before the singer “dangerously” sped back to her home in nearby Thousand Oaks. However, Oliver Wynn, the restaurant’s general manager, exclusively told Us that the recount was not “fair, realistic or true.”

He told Us, “I was there and attended to Britney and her friend. She was super chill and really nice. She was in and out of the restaurant within an hour. She just kind of hung out, grabbed a bite to eat and left.”

Wynn added that Spears sat in the eatery’s lounge and cocktail area where she ordered “a quesadilla and no alcohol,” before detailing that “another guest or fan bought her a glass of wine at the bar and brought it over to her table — she was not intoxicated.”

One day after the restaurant outing, Federline appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored where he claimed that Preston and Jayden have distanced themselves from their mother. “[Britney] saw one of my sons one day this year, and he decided not to go back over there because of what he saw,” he told the host at the time. “The other one, Jayden, who’s my younger son, is 19 now. He’s been over there quite a few times over the past year, and he’s stopped seeing her in the last few months because of the situation.”

Federline’s book also claimed that Spears, who was married to him from 2004 to 2007, did cocaine while she was a breast-feeding mother amid other accusations. Spears slammed the book’s allegations in a statement shared with Us by her rep ahead of the book’s launch on October 14. “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism,” the statement read.

Josh Allen’s Touchdown Celebrated With Wife Hailee Steinfeld’s ‘Love Myself’

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had the support of wife Hailee Steinfeld after scoring a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

After Allen’s play in the Sunday, November 2, game, the NFL celebrated by playing Steinfeld’s “Love Myself” in the background.

“Whoever decided to play a Hailee Steinfeld during a Josh Allen TD replay commercial break sequence should get a raise,” one user wrote via X, alongside the clip. “Go Bills and FUKC.”

Months before the NFL season began, Allen, 29, tied the knot with Steinfeld, 28, in California. For the May ceremony, Steinfeld rocked a custom white strapless Tamara Ralph gown, with opera gloves and a long white veil.

Josh Allen Calls Hailee Steinfeld Wedding ‘Best Night of My Life’ in Doc

“Josh says we have to talk about my dress now because I ‘stunned’ him when I got to the altar,” Steinfeld wrote in her “Beau Society” newsletter in June. “It’s easily the most perfect gown I’ve ever put on my body. Tamara Ralph designed it custom for me. Her tailoring is exquisite. We were on the tightest timeline. Six weeks before the wedding, my mom and I flew to Paris straight from the Sinners premiere in London for the fitting. I really had to lean into the whole ‘trust the process’ thing and thank God for Rob, Mariel, Tamara and her team for pulling it all together in time.”

The couple, who have been romantically linked since 2023, opted to have their nuptials be a phone-free occasion.

“We had the amazing [wedding photographer] Jose Villa and his team with us from Thursday through Sunday to capture all the love. We had a no-phone wedding — we wanted everyone to come and be present,” Steinfeld wrote. “Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made. But that meant Jose had his work cut out for him, capturing all the magic for us.”

Elsewhere in the newsletter, Steinfeld gushed that the day was “perfect — the whole entire thing.” She added, “It’s been a whole 13 days of being married, and we’ll be staying on this high forever!”

When Allen was asked in June about the recent events in his life, the NFL player noted that all of his achievements have “been big” before pointing to his milestone moment with Steinfeld.

“None other than marrying my best friend,” he said during a press conference in a video obtained by TMZ. “She makes everything easier. I don’t really focus on the other stuff, that was the most important decision I’ll make in my life, and I made the right one.”

Steinfeld, meanwhile, has been cheering Allen on throughout his career. In a 2024 issue of her newsletter, the Pitch Perfect actress gushed about watching him play.

“Football season is back, which means a few things,” Steinfeld wrote at the time. “I get to watch my favorite person continue to make NFL history every week (go off 17) [and] we’re just a few weeks away from drastic temperature drops … where you’ll find me drinking hot chocolate bundled in vintage Bills gear.”

Sister Wives’ Meri and Janelle Give Kody the Silent Treatment on Awkward Call

Kody Brown gets an icy reception from exes Meri Brown and Janelle Brown on Sister Wives while trying to make small talk on a joint Zoom call.

“Hey, guys, how’s it going?” Kody, 56, asks Meri, 54, and Janelle, 56, in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Sunday, November 2, episode of the TLC series.

After receiving a “good” from both of his ex-wives, Kody attempts to further break the ice by asking, “What’s going on? Anything exciting?”

There is an awkward silence from both women before they each shake their heads to signify nothing new has happened since they last discussed the sale of their family’s Coyote Pass property. (The trio, along with Robyn Brown, sold their land in Arizona in April after butting heads for years over the deal.)

Kody then asks Meri specifically how her bed and breakfast is going, claiming it “looks different.” Meri remains short with her ex, replying, “It’s the same.”

As Meri and Kody share awkward glances, Janelle looks off to the side in her Zoom window, choosing not to engage. Kody, however, doesn’t give up and tries to pull something out of Janelle to no avail.

“All right, how’s it going, Janelle?” he asks, to which she responds, “Good. Everything’s good.”

A Breakdown of Where Kody Brown Stands With His Sister Wives, Exes

When Kody inquires about whether Janelle has “heard any good jokes lately,” she quips, “No. I live with children. They don’t tell very funny jokes.”

Kody counters, “I live with children and they tell funny jokes.” Janelle, however, doesn’t bite, responding, “Mine are younger,” seemingly referring to her grandchildren who are under the age of 10.

Meri, for her part, takes a big gulp from her straw before the awkward conversation comes to an end.

Sister Wives’ Janelle and Meri Joke Kody’s ‘Type’ Is ‘Submissive’ With Robyn

“I don’t know what happened with Meri because I remember helping her move to her place in Parowan, Utah, and he is all fun and games and cordial,” Kody tells the cameras after the uncomfortable exchange. “Since then to now, it’s [gotten] weird as … I can’t even say words about how weird it’s gotten.”

Meri, meanwhile, reveals in her own confessional that since moving away from Kody and his fourth wife, Robyn, 47, she had to “draw some really hard boundaries.”

She explains that Kody being “all friendly and trying to act like things are normal” after previously saying negative things about her and her friends didn’t sit well. “That’s not going to fly,” Meri adds.

‘Sister Wives’ Stars From Season 1 to Now: Kody Brown and His 4 Wives

When Sister Wives premiered in 2010, Kody was married to Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown and was courting Robyn. Robyn joined their plural family in 2010 before Kody legally divorced Meri and married Robyn in 2014. (At the time, Kody adopted Robyn’s three children from a prior marriage.)

Kody’s relationships with his first three wives fell apart in 2021 when Christine, 53, left him. Janelle confirmed in 2022 that she and Kody had separated and in 2023, Meri announced her own split from Kody. The patriarch is still married to Robyn.

Sister Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.

#Malawi’s COVID-19 Update, November 2, 2021: Two new cases, Zero death

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-In the past 24 hours, Malawi has registered two new COVID-19 cases, 387 new recoveries and no new death. All new cases are locally transmitted one each from Blantyre and Mulanje health districts. The new admissions were not vaccinated.

Cumulatively, Malawi has recorded 61,802 cases including 2,302 deaths (Case Fatality Rate is at 3.72%). Of these cases, 2,675 are imported infections and 59,127 are locally transmitted.

Cumulatively, 57,716 cases have now recovered (recovery rate of 93.4%) and 232 were lost to follow-up. This brings the total number of active cases to 1,552.

In the past 24 hours, there was one new admission while no cases were discharged in the treatment units. Currently, a
total of five active cases are currently hospitalised: three in Lilongwe, and one each in Mzimba North, and Zomba districts.

On testing, in the past 24 hours, 310 COVID-19 tests were conducted. Of these, 203 tests were through RT-PCR while the rest were throughSARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Diagnostic test.

The positive cases out of the total number tested (past 24 hours) translates to a positivity rate of 0.65% and the weekly positivity rate (seven days moving average) is at 1%.

Cumulatively, 426,997 tests have been conducted in the country so far. On COVID-19 vaccination, a total of 1,228,019 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far.

Cumulatively 687,319 and 295,319 people have received the first dose and second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine respectively.

Over the past 24 hours, 4,390 and 1,543 people have received first dose and second of AstraZeneca vaccine respectively. Cumulatively, 558,239 people are fully vaccinated.

We continue to observe a downward trend in the number of COVID-19 new cases and admissions in the treatment units. Sadly though this is the case, we are still losing people due to COVID-19. Our Case Fatality Rate currently at 3.72% is higher that the global average which is 2.0%.

However we are still observing general late health care seeking behavior among us whereby patients are arriving in our treatment units while in severe state and this is resulting in poor disease outcomes.

Sadly, it has also been noted that most of the deaths being reported have not received the COVID-19 vaccine. Further, we have noted that some patients are being brought in out treatment units already dead.

Let me stress that those that have the severe form of the disease should seek care immediately at the nearest health facility where appropriate care will be given.

The public should be informed that in our treatment/isolation units we have experienced and dedicated health workers that are working tirelessly to save lives.

The chances of one recovering from COVID-19 increases when the disease is identified as early as possible hence the need for prompt health seeking behaviour.

I would like to encourage the public to promptly seek care at the nearest health facility whenever one is experiencing
COVID-19 like symptoms such as fever, cough, flu, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell and tiredness.

This prompt health care seeking will help us identify the disease in the early stages so that appropriate care can be given immediately. If one is unsure of what to do please engage with the health authorities by calling the toll-free number 929.

Let me also encourage those that have been confirmed to be COVID-19 positive to promptly seek care if they are
experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure, loss of speech or movement.

Let me emphasize that to effectively reduce and stop the disease from spreading further, there is need for collective effort –we all need to comprehensively follow all the preventive and containment measures as well as getting vaccinated for those that are aged 18 years and above.

The following preventive measures should be our daily routine: frequent handwashing with soap, proper wearing of mask, avoiding over- crowded places, practicing cough and sneeze etiquette, staying home if you have flu like symptoms and decontaminating commonly touched surfaces.

For COVID-19 Vaccination certificate queries please call toll free 929 or email eoc.health@mail.gov.mw or send WhatsApp message to +265887371288.

No one is safe until everyone else is safe. Get Fully Vaccinated! Wear Face Mask! Protect yourself. Protect your loved ones. Protect everyone.
