Lily Allen Weighs In on Beckham Family Feud After Brooklyn Speaks Out

Lily Allen has seemingly chosen a side in the ongoing drama surrounding Brooklyn Beckham and his estranged parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.

Allen, 40, shared a painting of Brooklyn, 26, in a blue polka-dot ensemble via her Instagram Stories on Monday, January 19. The photo mirrored her West End Girl album cover, in which Allen donned the same outfit in the same painted art style. (Spanish painter Nieves González is the man behind the original album cover.)

The singer herself is no stranger to drama of her own, as she previously revealed the album, released in October 2025, was “inspired by what went on in the relationship” with her estranged husband, David Harbour. (Allen and Harbour, 50, split in early 2025.)

“There are things that are on the record that I experienced within my marriage, but that’s not to say that it’s all gospel,” the singer told British Vogue that same month.

Brooklyn Beckham Claims He Was ‘Rejected’ During Dad David’s 50th Birthday

Allen’s Instagram post came just hours after Brooklyn took to his Instagram Stories to address the Beckham family feud at length, detailing multiple allegations against his family.

“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” Brooklyn wrote in a statement. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Brooklyn accused David, 50, and Victoria, 51, of controlling “narratives in the press” about their family for his “entire life.” The chef blasted “performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of the innocent people, to preserve their own facade,” Brooklyn continued. “But I believe the truth always comes out.”

Brooklyn Beckham’s Quotes About His Family: No Interest in Reconciling, More

Brooklyn specifically referenced the drama surrounding his parents and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, claiming David and Victoria have been “endlessly” trying to “ruin” their relationship before the pair’s April 2022 wedding. He referenced a spectacle over Nicola’s wedding dress and alleged his parents tried to pressure him “into signing away the rights to [his] name.”

Additionally, Brooklyn claimed he was “rejected” during his father’s 50th birthday celebration in May 2025, claiming he traveled to London to attend the milestone affair.

“When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited,” Brooklyn alleged. He claimed his family later traveled to L.A. and “refused” to see him at all. (David and Victoria also share sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14.)

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for David and Victoria for comment.

Following the Instagram post, many fans took to social media to weigh in on the Beckham family feud.

“Sounds like he’s setting boundaries and trying to take control of his own life — tough but important step,” one person wrote via X, while another said, “It’s hard raising kids. Sometimes as a parent you just want what’s best for your kids, especially in the current world where kids are exposed to all sorts of negative influences, but your kids may take that as being controlling.”

Art transcends borders and differences at show in Tangier

An art exhibition underway in Morocco is bringing together the works of artists from six countries in a bid to encourage cultural exchange as well as use art to transcend borders and other human divides.

The Línea Sur-Norte show in Tangier features 28 artworks including photography, sculptures, contemporary pottery and paintings.

“Our goal is to build a bridge from an artistic point of view that crosses the strait. Art unites human beings,” said Asunción Pastor, the academic head at the Cervantes Cultural Institute of Tangier.

“Art works with the innermost part of the human being, which is why it is universal. The human spirit is one, and our concerns are shared,” Pastor added.

The show held at the Cervantes Cultural Institute opened on April 23 and is on until May 9.

Painter Najoua el-Hitmi whose work is featured in the show views art as a bridge between civilizations.

“Human beings are, by nature, migrants. From birth to death, we are merely passing through. So I focus a lot on these journeys of life,” she said.

The exhibition has previously toured several Moroccan cities including Marrakech, Rabat, and Fez, before arriving in Tangier.
