Vision Fund Malawi has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with NICO Life Insurance to provide insurance services to village bank loan groups. This collaboration aims to offer financial protection to approximately 85,000 village bank members in times of accidents, illness, or death.
According to Vision Fund Chief Executive Officer Theodora Ntaba, the partnership will enable members to receive payouts during periods of hardship, thereby strengthening their financial stability.
Members will be required to contribute between K190 and K560 per month, depending on their income level, to benefit from the insurance scheme, dubbed FAST.
NICO Life Insurance has committed to ensuring the FAST scheme operates effectively, providing beneficiaries with adequate support during difficult times. Chief Operating Officer Chimwemwe Kanyenda emphasized the company’s dedication to delivering a seamless insurance experience.
