Wanderers vs Ekhaya match rescheduled for end of November

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The TNM Super League clash between Mighty Wanderers and Ekhaya FC, which was abandoned last week due to heavy rains at Kamuzu Stadium, has now been rescheduled to take place at the end of this month.

The update follows the release of a revised fixture list by the Super League of Malawi (SULOM), which has also adjusted several other matches to accommodate the national team’s preparations.

The Malawi Flames are expected to travel to South Africa for an international friendly match against Lesotho.

According to the new schedule, Mighty Wanderers will first face Silver Strikers on November 22 in Lilongwe before taking on Ekhaya FC om the following weekend in Blantyre.

Meanwhile, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will make a northern region tour in early December, where they will play Moyale Barracks and Karonga United.

Commenting on the fixture changes, SULOM Vice President Donnex Chilonga said the adjustments were necessary to ensure that the league finishes as planned by December 20, 2025.

“We are committed to completing the league by the scheduled date. Some fixtures will now be played midweek to make sure we remain on track,” said Chilonga.

He added that the organization has taken into account the national team’s calendar and weather-related disruptions that affected several matches in recent weeks.

Wanderers, currently pushing to close the gap at the top of the table, will be hoping to maintain their strong home form, while Ekhaya will be aiming to secure the position in top 8 of the league.
