The African Development Bank and the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) are hosting a virtual workshop titled “Mainstreaming Climate Finance Actions in National Development Finance Institutions.”

The objective of the event is to equip participants, in particular the private sector, with knowledge to scale up climate action. Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of the roles of national development finance institutions in climate risk management.

Speakers and other key personalities include Al-Hamdou Dorsouma, Manager, Officer in Charge, Climate Change and Green Growth; Gareth Phillips, Manager, Climate and Environment Finance Division, and Divinah Milenge, Coordinator of the Africa Financial Alliance on Climate Change, of the African Development Bank; and Natural Eco Capital experts Dr. Eugene Itua, Chief Executive Officer; Prof. Kalame Fobbise, Climate Finance & Risk Expert; Dr. Adeojo Jubril, Climate Finance Expert; Belynda Petrie, Climate Risk Expert; Prof. Chukwumerije Okereke, Climate Governance Expert; Stanislaus Deh, Financial Expert, and Marc Daubrey, Climate Risk Expert.
