“We are not afraid”-Mpulula dares Bullets Reserve ahead of Dimba Trophy finals tomorrow

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Silver Strikers Reserve Head Coach, Leo Ferguson Mpulula, has said they are ready to play Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve in the finals of MK2.5 million Aubrey Dimba Trophy on Sunday,2nd January 2022.

The Young Bankers Gaffer vowed to defeat the SRFA thumbs Up Champions Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve saying they are not afraid of meeting them.He added they have prepared well for the fierce battle and his boys are eager and determined to face off their counterparts.

“They are the champions in the SRFA having won three trophies this season but we are equally good,we have won Nyasa Capital Finance Regional Cup and finished third, we are finishing the season on a high note.People will witness good finals involving two developmental sides.

“Yes we have won our past three games on post match penalties but now that’s water under the bridge, we are treating this game as any cup final and our aim is to grab it”, Mpulula said.

His Counterpart Enos Chatama also said they are optimistic of grabbing the championship saying when they reach finals like this they do not fear any team and mean business.

Chatama added his boys will maintain their philosophy of passing and supporting kind of football saying people will be entertained on Sunday at Dimba ground.

“It has been a journey of mixed reactions,meeting Central region teams for the first time was hard as we were not aware of how they play,we had difficulties with the surface of the pitch but now we are used and we have mastered Central region football “,Chatama explains.

Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve have so far won three trophies in the Southern Region, Thumbs Up League,PowerStart top 8 and Nyasa Capital Finance Regional Cup.

In Aubrey Dimba MK2.5 Trophy they have managed to score five goals in three games against,St Gabriel Medicals in which they won by two goals to one,they also defeated Extreme FC in Quarterfinals by a goal to nil before hacking Kamuzu Barracks Youth in Semifinals by a two goals to one margin.

Leo Mpulula’s led team has never won any game on regulation time in the competition, they defeated Joseph FC 4-3 on penalties after regulation time ended one all in round of 16,before beating Wimbe United again 4-3 after 90 minutes failed to produce any goals and to reach the finals they defeated Mzuzu based side Bright Stars by 8-7 after regulation time ended one all.

The two sides arrived in Fortmanning district on Friday, December 31, 2021. Bullets Reserve trained at Bua Secondary School ground while Silver Strikers trained at the match venue.
