Malawi Parliament’s PAC awaits OPC on ACB boss Martha Chizuma’s fate

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Following the social media audio on Anti corruption Bureau (ACB) Director on breach of oath by revealing her secrecy of Office, Malawi Parliament’s Public Appointment Committee (PAC) awaits for the President stand on the matter.

PAC Chairperson, Joyce Chitsulo told journalists on Monday, January 24, 2022 that it is only the Office Of the President and Cabinet (OPC) to demands fate of the appointee once found guilty.

She said the committee will keep on monitoring the situation as they have received complaints from many people on the matter.

ACB Director was recorded by Orama Namalomba and exposed the conversation to the general public which has brought mixed reactions from several stakeholders.

There has been mixed reaction on Martha’s leaked audio that some are demanding her removal while others are backing her that she did not commit any crime.
