Shame! School boys fight over a girl

MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Kalibu Academy has vowed that it will investigate thoroughly students who picked a physical fight at the institution last Tuesday.

According to a statement the school issued on Wednesday, management is aware of the video clip that is currently circulating on the social media with two students conspicuously seen to be physically fighting inside a hostel while others look on.

“Although no complaint was lodged to the school, by anyone in relation to the incidents portrayed by the video, management set out to establish the identity of the students and further to establish what occurred, where and when.

“Presently, the school is continuing with its investigations and will consider any further actions to be taken in accordance with its rules and regulations,” reads the statement in part.

The statement also indicates that the two students, who belong to Form 4 and Form 5, fought over a girl who is allegedly a ‘girlfriend’ to one of the Form 4 students.

However, the incident has sparked hot debate on the social media regarding the safety of students at the school. One follower of the incident, who said is a parent to a secondary school student in the country wrote, “Twice, Kalibu Academy is in the limelight for bad publicity. Something is wrong with this school.”

In July lat year, the school was also involved in similar bad news regarding the safety of students, in which a male teacher allegedly harassed a female student sexually.
