Husband Taulo, maid charged for Malawi Journalist Nomsa’s murder

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court on Friday, July 21, 2023, charged the husband of a former journalist late Nomsa Mkandawire Taulo, and her maid with murder.

The suspects are Paul Taulo (husband) and Mary Eric (maid).

The two appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Shukurani Kumbani in Lilongwe on Friday, who put them on remand for 30 days to allow the State to conclude its investigations.

A relative to the deceased confided in that postmortem results revealed that Mkandawire died of food poisoning.

Nomsa Mkandawire, who worked for the United Nations Development Programme as Communications and Innovations Analyst, breathed her last in May this year after a short illness, hours after getting into the country on holiday.
