Malawi Political News: DPP Expels Nicholas Dausi

The Democratic Progressive Party DPP had expelled Nicholas Dausi with effect from Sunday 3 August 2023.

According to a letter seen on social media. Nicholas Dausi had been expelled from the party with immediate effect.

This follows a recommendation from the disciplinary committee and a division by the central executive committee of the DPP .

Dausi was found guilty of three misconducts contrary to the DPP constitution. He creases to be the party’s Member of Parliament and it’s Publicity Secretary. The letter has been signed by Hon Shadric Namalomba .

In a radio interview on Zodiak, Hon Nicholas Dausi responded by expressing his surprise saying that he needed to wait for the said letter.

“Since you are the first to receive the letter, and not me I don’t have a copy of the same. If I responding now I may miss the contents of the letter in question, so I would advise that we wait for the letter to reach me,” Dausi said.

Among other charges, Nicholas Dausi is accused of having an interview on Times Radio and TV without the blessings of the DPP.
