Fam’s central women soccer U15 league kicks off

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Central Region Women’s Football Under-15 Seven-a-Side Pilot League kicked off on Saturday in Mvunguti Zone at Dedza Secondary School.

The pilot league has attracted eight teams in Lilongwe Urban and the teams have been divided into two Zones of four teams each, namely Mvunguti and Chiwoko Zone.

On Saturday the Mvunguti Zone took shape with the host Dedza Secondary School setting the pace leading the log table courtesy of goal difference superiority after thumping Jamo Privte school 3-0.

Mainesi Kadongola, who was player of the match inspired the rout, hitting a brace while the other goal was scored by Sherita Sambikeni.

New Version Private Secondary School laboured to beat Kabwabwa Community Day Secondary school 3-2 in the first game of the day.

Rhoda Chikuse scored two goals while the other goal was scored by Glory Sichinga.

Kabwabwa had the two goals courtesy of Evidence Masibanda and Salome Phukusi.

Dedza Secondary School are leading the log table with goal difference of two, over New Version who are on second position with three points as well.

Kabwabwa are third without a point while Jamo Private school who have conceded three goals without a reply, are at the bottom of the table.

Chiwoko Zone will start their games next Saturday at Kamuzu Institute for Sports.
