Chilima is talking with MCP for possible alliance

MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Vice President and UTM leader Dr. Saulos Chilima on Sunday, March 1, 2020 confirmed talking to Malawi Congress Party (MCP) on possible electoral alliance ahead of fresh elections.

Chilima told the Mzuzu political rally that once the discussions with MCP is done the party will come to the public.

The UTM leader assured the nation that the party is making head way in readiness of the fresh election.

He however accused President Peter Mutharika for copying UTM manifesto on on education quota system.

Chilima said if the abolition of quota system is real he however challenged Mutharika to fulfill the nation’s needs

This week Malawi government of Malawi abolished quota system of selecting students into public universities, and reinstated Junior Certificate Exams.

Minister of Education Science and Technology, William Susuwele said the system has been abolished to create room for meriting students who were unable to access tertiary education because of the system.

He added that abolition of the system will help in creating adequate space in public universities.

During the rally Frank Mwenefumbo former Aford Karonga Central Lawmaker sold out Chilima’s leadership skills that Malawians must trust him.
