LAIKIPIA-(MaraviPost)-Several politicians in Laikipia County are strongly behind Gideon Moi’s bid to run for the presidency come 2022.

Speaking in Nyahururu town on Sunday, the leaders, among them Maina Njenga and former Laikipia North MP Mathew Lempurkel, said Gideon has never had undesirable traits or qualities unlike other politicians.

While addressing Laikipia residents,Mr Njenga said they would rally local youth to support Gideon Moi and added all they ever wanted is,a person who has the ability to unite the country and one who is not linked to corruption cases and that is why they are contented by Gideon, he is well placed to do the job.

“Let us support one of our own who understands the issues affecting us,” Njenga said.

Mr Lempurkel called on Kenyans to support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) since it will solve the issues affecting them.

“BBI will solve problems of land disputes and clashes over cattles and also stated Land matters between herders and farmers will be addressed,” Lempurkel said.

The leaders spoke two days after Gideon met elders from Mt Kenya region, where he expressed his interest and support for BBI.
